Davanni's

Edited review on 3/17/2018. I was originally wrote a stellar review for this restaurant, there's only a handful of restaurants in DT, as a local that while I'm super picky but polite, where its consistently a pleasure to frequent or be a customer. I had such a bad experience last Fall with an assistant manager who was well familiar of my quirks, lost it temporarily, but in Davanni's defense, they DID go way out of their way to try and make it right. Problem was, this particular staff member, was not ever consistently nice to either me or my bf (who is the least picky person on the planet) when other staff members were always great to deal with, depending on my luck of who was working. I probably would've just left this alone, but I'm getting bombarded lately with Davanni's ads and figured maybe this could help. As well as I love Domino's, 2 blocks away and as picky as I am, they go out of their way to please me and I'm beyond grateful. I'm only putting this out there, as this store had a lot of potential, but I'm almost grateful for that bad experience, because it made it too hard to think of going back there again and I found that not only in taste do I like Domino's better, but that there service is always great and it's a much more comfortable and rewarding price point. But not sure even if it was FREE, at this point, I wouldn't go back. Even though their pizza is really good. And I like their deep dish, which I eat once in awhile, actually better than Domino's. But I eat pizza, in store, takeout or delivery several times a week (as it's good for my MENTAL health ;) ) I'm hoping for their sake though, as a local chain, they don't risk doing that to other loyal customers, as competition for market is fierce and once a customer is lost, it's pretty hard to gain that customer back. But I mean it sincerely, I do hope that they will be okay.

Love the service as well as the pizza.. I strongly recommend the vegetarian pizza.. cozy for a weekend date

Davanni's...always great good. Not as many choices as Savoy's or Umbria or Broadway Pizza, but you can't go wrong with Davanni's. This location is not the easiest to get in and out of. Food was slow to arrive even though we got there early and there were only a couple of customers in the place. Parking is limited as with any establishment located in or around the Downtown area. Seating is limited so get there early!!! Be prepared to wait if you go there during lunch on a weekday.

Stop #41 for @pizzas365: Pretty fantastic crust with nice toppings and sauce. Ultimately losing style points for price and a bit of grease, but overall very good. 4 Stars.

The employees here seem to have pretty low IQs so don't expect to get decent customer service.
