Elf's Den Restaurant & Lounge

My family and I went to Elf's Den for dinner and it was honestly awful. I have never been so compelled to write a review because of how terrible service and or food. My chicken fried steak was solid, I could barely cut through it, we ordered a burger and the bun was the same toughness and everyone else received burned food. We waited 45 minutes for "salad" which was just store bought leaf lettuce with a small amount of dressing, and then receive our sib par orders. All I have to say is Elf's Den used to be good.

I just tried to call and talk to them to ask a simple question do you deliver. They gave me major attitude. I could barely understand them on the phone and they hung up on me. then they would not answer the phone for the next 45 minutes I just let it ring it’s not that hard to be polite to people I don’t know how the food is because I never had a chance Nor will I give it one.

Went here with my husband a couple months after we arrived in Alaska. We walked in not knowing where to be seated and the woman behind the bar told us to sit wherever. She came and took our drink order and she came back about 5 minutes later with drinks. When we were trying to decide on food, she bent down, was maybe a couple inches away from my face and staring just at me which made me super uncomfortable. We order garlic bread and pizza. The garlic bread came out and it was cold. When we got our pizza, she served it with her bare hands and then licked her fingers after. The pizza was lukewarm and wasn't cooked all the way through. Horrible experience and will never go back.

Personally, I love going here but beware that the service is usually pretty poor. However, the calzones more than make up for it!

Was a great place for lunch or dinner 10 or so years ago but now it needs work all around
