El Mariachi Restaurant Bar

This place really is a hidden gem in the city. The service was super fast and friendly. The food was amazing and had really great flavor. The price range is great for the portions of food you are getting. Everything was fresh and delicious.Food: 5/5

I love Mexican food, we used to live in US where are tons of Mexican restaurants with very good authentic food. Since we moved to Fredericton I hope and hope and hope for a very good authentic Mexican restaurant and I keep trying to find the one and once again I am disappointed. We had take out burritos. I had burrito carnitas with no jalapeño and was very salty and quite spicy. My husband had burrito Asada and he said he liked it. I really miss good Mexican food and it seems that unfortunately I can’t get that in Canada.

We tried El Mariachi for lunch today and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We tried the house made chips with guac and pico as well as three different types of tacos Adobode, Carnita and Spicy Fish. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. The service was fantastic and the food came out quick. Although a bit off the beaten path, it is well worth the trip!

We were so excited to try this new restaurant out. There hasn’t been good Authentic Mexican food since the days of El Burrito Loco downtown. Went came on the second day they were opened. We were the first to order their pulled pork super nachos. Well…. We got them to go and went to our vehicle to eat them to find out that there wasn’t a single piece of pulled pork on the nachos. So went back in and showed them and they made fresh ones right away. Went back to vehicle looking forward to eating them when we noticed an awful lot of pork fat intertwined with the nachos. Not sure if it is suppose to be made that way, a few pieces one could understand however the actual pile that we removed was quite scary. It’s too bad because they were good tasting otherwise just a bit of a turn off when you see sooo much fat in your food. Staff was awesome. May try a different dish next time because it was tasty but rather disappointing to see all that fat.

Absolutely unreal good tacos. Everything about this place was perfect. Tacos were amazing. Service was exceptional and very friendly. I can't rate this place highly enough. I have to say they are the best tacos I've had in Fredericton. This place is an absolute gem and a great addition to the city food-scape. Nothing short of a perfect experience and exceptional value for money. Everyone in my group had a similar review and experience.

Wow! Carlos and his crew have filled a gap that Fredericton has been missing. Their menu is incredible and cannot go wrong with anything you order. This meal was finger-licking good and left us wanting to order more. A hidden gem in Fredericton, delivers the best authentic Mexican food and well worth stopping in with your friends and family!

This is amazing, I've been looking for REAL MEXICAN FOOD in new Brunswick and finally found this place. Take this like a "Expert opinion" from a Mexican: THIS IS AMAZING

An amazing Mexican place. The food is the best. Handmade chips, salsa and guacamole are fantastic. Taco Tuesdays are the best. The serving of nachos is too much to eat in one sitting, and they are amazing. It has a quirkiness that makes it unique. Make the effort to find it tucked away off Forest Hill in the old STU res. They also have a booth down at the FREX.

Great experience! Our server Reade was lovely and a delight. Very great service. Fish taco was to die for. Just the right amount of sweet and little spice for me. Definitely ask about spicy-ness level. I’m a very low level spice person and the Adobada was a bit too spicy for my liking. But it was well made and I think someone who loves spice would love it! Going to try the chicken taco next. Bring your friends for Taco Tuesday!
