El Catrin Taqueria

Sorry for the half eaten foods but it smelled so good we couldn’t wait! We ordered the adobo chicken burrito and it was insanely good! We also ordered the fish tacos which were bigger than I’d expected. Even the adobo burrito was pretty filling by itself. Arman did an amazing job of making the burrito and she was really nice!

The food was ok, not much modifiable if you dont like an ingredient. The atmosphere was nice, the service was just ok.Food: 4/5

The food was fine - what you would expect for an airport. The service was pretty bad. The manager came out and started reprimanding the staff for being too generous with portions while people were waiting for their food. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla and rather than giving me the one on the menu, I was charged for the vegetarian quesadilla with chicken as an add on, costing a few extra dollars than it should of. It wasn’t worth the hassle of bringing up with the nasty manager around though

Not too sure how fresh the food here was looked like it had been out for a while but hey, it’s airport food. The tacos we ordered were actually not that bad, and was a good send-off meal for the flight. Staff were good too

Fast service, good food. Conchinita pibil quesadilla was tasty. Would definitely return here if I was in a pinch for a meal in yyz

Tried the beef and the chicken tacos, both only had 1 tortilla so the whole taco breaks under its own weight making for a messy situation. The chicken taco was very bland, the beef taco had a bit more flavour thanks to some sauce but the actual meat was bland as well. For one order 2 tacos its about 10$ and takes about Its your 10 minutes to be made. Its your average mediocre expensive airport food.

I appreciate that airport food has been improving and this is decent given it’s in an airport. But it’s a bad mark on the name el catrin as it’s not comparable to the actual el catrin in the distillery.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews this is the best food I’ve found in the airport so far, it’s healthy, fresh, and they cook it for you. The dude with the man bun was very nice to me.

The service was friendly and the ingredients themselves were really tasty. I had the two chicken tacos but the tacos are tiny and too soft to actually hold the food inside. They ended up breaking apart while I was trying to hold it up to eat it. I still recommend the food here though because it was great, they just need to cook the tacos/quesadilla shells longer to allow for easier eating.
