Garden's Gate Family Restaurant

I had dinner here whilst on a family vacation to Manitoulin Island, and we were beyond impressed with this beautiful restaurant. The entrance is lined with gorgeous, vibrant flowers and the solarium section of the dining area is surrounded by lush greenery. As a party of fifteen, we had called for a reservation and had the pleasure of being served by co-owner John (who was friendly, warm and an absolute riot). The food was remarkably fresh, and the restaurant's "Farm to Table" orientation rang true throughout the menu. My Manitoulin Whitefish was seasoned nicely and came with a sweet peach chutney, hand-cut french fries, tender grilled zucchini, and a smooth cauliflower purée. All in all, I would recommend Garden's Gate Family Restaurant to anyone who enjoys beautiful scenery, pleasant service, and deliciously fresh food.

This place is fabulous! It is such a quaint and cute environment. .We sat in the back sun room which was very nice. The staff were EXTREMELY friendly & the food was delicious! Highly recommended!

The food was fresh, most of their vegetables were grown in their own garden. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Honestly such an amazing place to be! I wish this was next to my house. John, the great man who served us, was very kind and helpful with all questions. We got a candle on our table and real flowers. Really tasty teas with a huge variety of fresh teas. The soup is great! We got pumpkin soup and it tastes so fresh, warm and tasty. The owners have a vegetarian menu as well with a couple of great options that are well thought of and made fresh in their kitchen, making it also a great place for vegetarians as well as vegans! I'd definitely come back again... We tried many restaurants and this is the best restaurant in Manitoulin with the best food and experience.

Nice meals with lots of local ingredients. A proper kids menu too.
