Another great visit with good food, great portions, and good service. But the host should have separated the tables as he led a group of 6 to a table right next to ours when there were other further tables available. The restaurant staff should be more mindful of social distancing for the tables.
Was tired of dining on Asian food lately, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese so decided on Italian. Went to East Side Mario's in Stouffville and wasn't disappointed. We both ordered the Chicken Parmesan and received 2 big pieces of Breaded Chicken Breast covered in Sauce and Cheese. It came with a nice portion of Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce and Choice of Soup or Salad and unlimited Freshly Baked Bread. I chose tossed Salad and my brother chose Soup Italian Wedding. Great meal.
Came here for dinner on a Saturday Aug2021. They have a hand sanitizer dispenser at the door but it is empty on the day we visited. Each table spaced out and it is comfortable. They are not busy but looks like they are short staffs, I saw a few of them keep moving things around and look very disorganized. They offer refill salad when they saw us finish the one we order, we said we don't need any refill. They bring one anyway and we did not touch it, what a waste. Our server is actually very good so we give her a big tips.
I have to say, of all the locations, this was by far the best one. The soup was a bit salty and the pasta was way overcooked. The chicken parmigiana was well done, but also a little bit salty. Other than that, I didn't have to send back the food for being undercooked, and the waitress was very attentive.Food: 4/5
Although they seemed run off their feet, the service was great! I know what to expect for atmosphere at a chain restaurant and I like the way East Side decorates...murals, lights. I love the Italian music which reminds me of my youth. I'm not keen on the robot that maneuvers itself to a table to play a recording of the happy birthday song. I really don't care if the staff have poor singing voices, the robot is too impersonal! I also didn't much care for the Italian they like red winefruit flies there were 3 at the table. The food flavour was to be expected for a chain. I was surprised to see the lasagna was made with a cut up meatball maybe half of one?. It also came with a side of red sauce. I never did figure out what that was for?? It was served in a skillet that wore a seemingly well used, torn little oven mitt on the handle. The salads were lacking in dressing, but they still came with free refills ...despite the lettuce shortage. The company was great. : Vegetarian options: There are only 4 or 5 vegetarian options. Order a pasta and it comes with all you can eat salad and bread. You won't go hungry! Parking: The parking lot is shared with Sunset Grill and St Louis Bar and Grill. For supper on a weeknight, there was sufficient parking Sunset was closed, so only compete with St. Louis. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has automatic doors and no stairs.
We came here after our daughter's volleyball tournament. I made reservations, but had to call to change the amount of people coming. Then had to call again to change the time. They were so accommodating and the service was amazing. I had to compliment the manager. It just seems that lately I've had poor service whenever going to a restaurant, but definitely NOT here, we were so pleased. Would definitely dine here again.
Decent food and service. Currently having buy one entrée get one free pasta takeout promo conditions apply. Nice. A tad expensive though.
The good: - Service was friendly. - Atmosphere is great for kids. Bright, clean, and not too loud. Kids had fun playing with crayons. - The pizza was pretty decent. They have a cauliflower crust option which I liked. Small pizza for the price though. The bad: - Overall the food was the weak point. For the price, the portions are small and quality is poor. - The classic calamari was disappointing. The calamari itself was rubbery. Could have been overcooked and definitely cooked from frozen. No tenderness there. - The burger tasted burnt and was like a solid meatball in texture. Overall, the kids enjoyed the atmosphere but the food was not good, especially for the price. If you do eat there, recommend the pizza and I did enjoy the cauliflower crust.
Great place 10/10 Feels as if I visited a restaurant after ages but it totally exceeded my expectations. Service was super good and food was delicious. Host's were friendly and did a great job to elevate our experience there. We ordered almost every vegetarian dish available there and all were good. If you want to go in a group, I'd suggest reservations before hand like 4-5 days ago so that the employees can plan accordingly to the covid protocols. I totally recommend this place to everyone
We love this location. The host is so cheerful and welcoming, the servers are fast and friendly and the manager is very visible and clearly has everything under control. We drive 15 minutes just to come to this location.
