We stayed in the family room with two bedrooms. This was really handy for a family of 4. However, they provided no pots, pans or utensils despite having a kitchen in the room. My kids found the room hot but the air conditioning was too loud to run when they were sleeping . The room was not cleaned when we arrived but the super friendly front desk staff arranged for it to be cleaned ASAP. The breakfast was included in the price but it was limited. Overall the people on the front desk were super friendly but the hotel could be improved and cleaned better.
Old, dated hotel/motel. Friendly staff. Pool in the basement. Limited warm breakfast. The best highlights for this hotel is the location: 10 minute away from Charlottetown center and the large parking lot. The rooms are dated, with window air conditioners that haven't been refreshed in a long while. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was renovated. We had a family suite with kitchen. Spacious. Nothing is supplied in the kitchen: no utensils, no dishes, no pots or pans. The oven was not working just the top stove and the microwave. We also used the washer/dryer and while they are definitely not new they worked as expected. Saw in other reviews that the drier was not drying, but this was not the case for us: it dried decent enough for an big load. The breakfast simple but limited choice. Cereals, muffins, fries, fried eggs, jams, coffee, tea , juices and milk.
We were told the day before that the AC was not working, however that it wasn’t that bad in terms of heat and it would be fixed either Friday or Saturday. We arrived on a Friday with the plan of staying two nights. First off most of the staff except one very nice young guy at the front desk are completely rude!, no AC so the rooms were so unbearable from the heat, the bed sheets were dirty we slept on top on the sheets, beds were super small, rooms were not clean, and when my husband went to ask for a refund for our second night because we could not stay there again they were completely rude to him and nasty! We were not the only family leaving because of the heat. The breakfast was ok, nothing fabulous.the location was good and the price was good… but now we know why it was so good. I will NEVER stay here again and I suggest you do not as well!! Horrible!
What a great place! Not too bad for an older building and rooms were very nice! Pool, BBQ, B&B, lots of parking. Loved it!
This place is over rated at even 2 stars. Outrageously priced $200 a night tax in. Maybe they could spend that and spring for a mattress that doesn’t fold in two. First room wasn’t ready, but their site says tuners is a minimum of 24 hours between stays for proper cleaning. Do not stay here.
Summer 2022 update. For VALUE, this is closer too a 5 star motel. It is an older building, so what you can expect from your stay? To me- the most important top 3: Clean. Quiet. Comfortable beds. I am on the road 200 days a year. That's what I need. That's what you can expect. This motel is in transition under new ownership. Most rooms have modern, quiet AC, and baseboard heat. Everything in the room works. The motel is far enough from the road to avoid truck noise, and in the middle of farms in front and behind their property. If you require something specific such as a pool, breakfast, stove, microwave-ask before you book, and you likely will get what you are paying for. Staff is friendly and will do what they can to make the stay comfortable. That was my 3 day experience.
I highly recommend the suite with the jacuzzi tub! Yes it’s an older dated building but the bed and linens were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable and THE TUB!!! PLUS it’s only a 15 drive to Charlottetown and a fraction of the cost.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating, service is great, location is great. The hotel is dated; the rooms are clean, beds are comfortable but everything looks fairly old and we just did not find it attractive to hang out there, even on rainy days. Small details were off: only two chairs at the kitchen table when it's a suite for 4, hardly any room to hang towels in the bathroom... We took a suite with kitchenette: kitchenette was good although the oven did not work but absolutely no dishes or utensils or cookware provided. Thank goodness we had been camping and had the basics with us otherwise the kitchen would have been useless. I've never had a place with a kitchenette that was completely empty of any dishes or cookware. Overall it worked for us but if we visit PEI again I will look for other accomodation.
First of all the room was hot as hell because the air conditioning was broken. The breakfast was very cheap and not that great. They told us on our second day here that the pool was their private property even though it's listed on the site that we booked on. The best part about this place was getting to watch the cows from the window and leaving.
The room was way bigger then i expected. The service was amazing and the view out the dinning room was spectacular, the breakfast however was very plain. But at least there was a breakfast.Rooms: 3/5
