Durham Dental Care is the office of Dr. Andrew Simic and Associates - Dr. Nasser Jafari and Dr. Lyra Wright (Periodontist)
We are a family oriented dental office that provides a wide variety of services that includes wisdom teeth extractions, implants, crowns, bridges, dentures as well as your general dental needs.
We are open evenings and alternate weekends for your appointments. Free Parking is available. New Patients are Always Welcome.

PATIENTS WITH AUTISM AVOID!!  So they wouldn’t give me an emergency appointment unless I went private… they said the only day they do NHS emergency appointments is a Wednesday. I’ve now ran them over 21 times today 8:09 weds morning and they are ignoring me! I know this because I’m sat outside watching them ignore me!!!  Update: finally got through at 8:11 and apparently all their appointments were gone?! The advice was “it’s still early try different dentists” - your my dentist?! I have autism and specifically chose bupa for understanding purposes the whole time I’ve been there they’ve treated me absolutely disgusting! Do not recommend!!!!

Was at the practice not to long ago as a new private patient and the care and professionalism was brilliant they made sure I had a downstairs surgery ready as I am not good with stairs I understand there isn’t any NHS dentist at the moment but Keelan who I seen was amazing would defo recommend Thank you bupa Durham

I've been with the practice for several years now, and I have been seeing David Lewis for the majority of that time. I have really extreme dental anxiety/dentist phobia and the team have worked carefully with me over the years to the point where I can actually have necessary work and examinations done. From being unable to sit in the chair, to being able to have a filling. Today I've seen their new private dentist who was similarly kind, patient, respectful of my extreme anxiety, and also did a good job.  I really cannot recommend or thank the team enough at Bupa Durham for their consistent excellent care. The level of skill it takes all members of a team to reassure and kindly work with someone with such a bad phobia is really high, and that they've been willing to work with me over the years has gone above and beyond. Everyone I interact with there is always so extremely kind, and that is part of the package of being able to actually go and have painful teeth sorted out when you have such bad anxiety.  I really don't write reviews of places that often, but I feel people should know how great they are. 10/10 Fantastic all round. Thank you

Would've been 5 stars if NHS dentists weren't leaving the practice. Appointments would be easier to obtain. James Pilkington is the best dentist I've seen in my 60 years.

All the staff are really helpful explaining treatments. Would recommend anyone to this practice as my children have been coming here for years.

Terrible communication between themselves and patients turned up yesterday for appointment for my daughter to be told it had been cancelled they have only 1 dentist that only works 1 day a week. Now my daughter has to wait on a cancellation list which receptionist said should be seen before Christmas

This dental practice is welcoming, with pleasant staff at every level.  I have attended for many years now, and am very happy with the service I have received in that time.

Appointment with dentist Steven Mason for the first time. I am in a wheelchair, both Steven and his nurse were very considerate and helpful. Only in for a check up which was conducted quickly but thoroughly and the findings explained to me. Very good experience for a dentist .

I've seen some negative reviews of the place, but it was the only dentist in Durham which would see me privately at the moment. I was worried about the 2.8 star rating but my experience was pleasant! Friendly staff, went straight in, and the dentist was very kind and patient in explaining what he was doing.
