Nice park on top of the sand cliffs. Big trees and moss hanging from them. the nature park stuff is competent and helpful. Good for hikes through the forest and with views over to Victoria Island. Only downside is that in the federal part of the park bicycles are forbidden, so it is not possible to ride down to the spit.

This is a great place for a walk along the seaside. You won't have beach access, but there are very pretty views at every viewpoint. At the end of the nature trail, right before the fee area, they had a display set up with various bits of marine and forest life collected in the area, including some very impressive skulls and giant whale vertebrae. They encouraged us to touch and handle everything on the tables so my 6 year old niece had a blast!

Superb camping. One of the cleanest facilities I've ever camped. Hosts are lovely & staff is helpful. The national wildlife preserve next door was one of my families highlights in Washington.

Great, dog and kid friendly trails. Nice views from the top of the bluffs. We really need to spend more time out here!

Pay $3 per group ad an entrance fee to walk down to the Dungeness Spit. Google the tides chart if you want to get the best time to go for the most beach. The path is solid with no debris except sand which is good for strollers. The last 300 feet is a decline down to the beach area, somewhat steep but not too bad. No bathrooms at the beach side of the path but there is a typical park bathroom at the top of the trail. Beautiful views of mountains, islands and water.
