Great views. Reasonable easy hike. Cliffs ocean and a view back at the mountains what more can you ask. The path is well made and paved most the way to the beach. Only a minor incline at the end to reach the beach. Short to get there then can hike for miles and miles along the beach. Perfect to select how much adventure you want. 3 dollar entrance fee for groups

Short walk on a wide flat trail through forest to the beach, which is a long strip of land with the Straits on one side and drift logs on the other. It's an easy walk, nicer at lower tide. The first half mile gets a lot of use and then the crowds thin out. I don't think of this as a serious hike (though it can be if you go all the way to the light house) but rather as a pleasant water side stroll

Quite an interesting place to hike. This spit of land extends about 5 miles along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Lots of marine life and birds. The inner side of the spit is a bird sanctuary, so don't hike there.

A short hike thru a beautiful rainforest canopy leads to a breathtaking view of the beach spine at the Dungeness Wildlife reserve. Be sure to bring binoculars, because its the only way to get a good view of the working lighthouse at the end of the spine, unless you're up for the 11 mile round-trip hike to see it in person. We didn't see too many forest or beach critters during our afternoon hike, but in the early morning or evening I can imagine they come out of hiding. Take some time to enjoy the walk along the beach. Get creative with the driftwood. Build a rock cairn with the numerous rocks along the shore. It's a beautiful spot to recharge and enjoy nature.

The blue of the water is expansive. The walk to the water through the trees is very restful.
