My Mom purchased a camper this summer and decided that camping was going to be her retirement treat. We shopped several campgrounds and landed at Dumont. We have moved her trailer to a few different spots for weekend/week camping. She has now decided to be a seasonal addition there! Anita is the Manager. She is a great asset to this campground!! She loves what she does and it shows! She truly cares about her campers and the campground! She is the biggest reason I am comfortable leaving my Mom for days at a time, to camp alone. I love how she checks on my Mom daily. Give Dumont a try, you won’t be disappointed! Plus, the beach area is awesome! I love hanging out there. It is well kept and fun, especially for my Grandbabies!
This is a great campground especially for families that like it a bit more quiet. The playground is loads of fun for all ages. The fishing ponds are very large and full of life and will definately lead to hours of fun catching frogs, fish and turtles. The lakefront beach is beautiful and clean, and a great place to park your boat or launch your kayaks and have a day out on the great Dumont Lake. And did I mention the whole park is dog friendly?! If your pups love the water this place is perfect! And the campsites are probably some of the best I have ever stayed at. The sites are very spacious, well kept and perfectly shaded. Will be back, this place is a gem and gets 11/10 from our family!
It’s not the worst but far from the best campground in the area. The bathrooms are brand new which is nice but there isn’t any signage to find them. The lake as beautiful but a little far from the campground to walk though you can drive down and parking is available. At the time of check in there wasn’t anyone in the office - on any given day. Our site was right on the road, we camped in tents. The white truck is on the road driving past the tent. Very close. The playground is minimal and outdated yet kids can still enjoy the equipment.
I rented one of the sites with a camper on it already, and what a nice clean camper and set up. Anita was great to work with and the campground itself was very nice. Was there with a wedding party for the weekend and everyone had a great time. I strongly recommend this place. I know we will all be back. Thank you Anita!!!
Nice little campground with a great little beach. Campground was peaceful and quiet. Took away one star due to how unlevel the sites are. Make sure you bring all you leveling blocks and wood to make it work.
Me and my grandpa and cousin were having a guys camping trip and me and my cousin made some friends there. The lake is a great place to see it's a beautiful sight.
Me and my husband were seasonals at Dumont Lake Family Campground. We had a great experience all-around. The staff are friendly and helpful with any and all needs. Our spot was beautiful with shaded trees surrounding and plenty of room. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time here last weekend. The site was wonderful, the facilities were great and it was an awesome value. The staff was so great. We had a rather severe storm go through, and we were in a pop up yes, you can have a pop up there. The staff stopped by the next morning to make sure we were ok. The beach is a bit of a walk, but well worth the trip. It was sandy and clean. We launched our kayaks and were able to teach our two grandchildren how to kayak as well. We will be checking out the fishing ponds on our next visit. The one negative, and this is not something the campground can control, is my grandson got stung by a yellow jacket. It was so nice to see the response from three different families that are seasonal campers there, though. They all came running and brought ice, numbing cream, and seeing what they could do to help. It turned the one negative in to a huge positive. We will definitely be back!
What a wonderful beautiful place!!!!! Also the Manger was awsome so great with all the children and makes everyone feel so comfortable and relaxed so they can truly enjoy their time there! So excited to get back there.
Very friendly staff but had the seasonal camper next to us over flowing there grey water tank with both grey water and black valves pulled on their camper and the smell was awful and both my small children where playing right there where it was overflowing nothing was done about the situation. The other problems where that the power was across the lot and not even on the right side of the camper. It was just a mess. Other than that very fun camp ground m
