Awesome place for quick great sandwiches and coffee on the go. Wonderful deli and European style groceries. I just had to ask who the Duke was? The answer intrigued me. The clerk even showed me a historical photo of the Duke's statue in Odessa Ukraine. Loved it.
Ukrainian owned, amazing spot for European and Ukrainian foods - they make a wonderful latte with their espresso machine. Consider skipping the Starbucks and pop in for a latte. Great for cold cuts, cheeses, desserts, and frozen goods. Highly recommend!
So cool! Duke Fine Foods is primarily an Eastern European grocery store and they have so many products imported from Eastern Europe. I loved looking at all the candies and snacks. They also have some freezers with imported ice cream and mini cheesecakes. Prices are reasonable. The store is spacious and brightly-lit. They have baked goods, but only pre-packaged ones. I hope they will get fresh bakery items soon. I think they will because I was told they will serve coffee and sandwiches. They've only been open for 2 months and haven't had their grand opening yet. Service was courteous. I will be back for sure to try more items. Free parking available in the plaza it's next to the CIBC at Robertson and Moodie.
I got a sandwich here today and it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Already planning a second visit so I can get one again!
Unbelievable. The family is so nice, the food is high quality. If you’re from Ottawa you’ll know how big a compliment what I’m about to say is… BETTER THAN FRANKS!! So good!!!! If you’re not from Ottawa and are just charging your Tesla across the street, this is a much better stop than MCDs beside it. So good
We heard so many good things about Duke that we finally took the time to drive over from Cantley. Good thing we came prepared with a cooler in our trunk because it didn’t disappoint! First off, the store itself is bright, open and immaculately kept, which is very welcoming. All staff were friendly and smiling and kind to my shy toddler. The selection was great and we got many of our favourite treats that we can’t find elsewhere, like decent perogies and kvass. We also got some pastries, juices, preserves, soups, and chocolate. The deli seemed very fresh and the salami we purchased was great. Very nice selection of smoked fish too. Can’t wait to go back!
The best coffee in town!!! Made with love and knowledge by the owner of this beautiful store Oleg. 5 stars out of 5! The halva coffee is worth driving from other part of the city to enjoy. It’s two in one - awesome dessert and delicious coffee in one cup!!! The store is beautiful with nice ambiance and has a wide choice of tasty European delicatessen, the stuff is amazing and very friendly!!!
Great grocer! They have a terrific selection, from pickled/preserves, teas, sweets, deli and bakery. Their syrnyk is melt in the mouth delicious, they carry a nice selection of bread the rye and challah are a delight, and they carry my favorite kind of smoked gouda thank you!!. I'm sure I'll enjoy every time I shop from them. The people working at the store when I shopped there were helpful and very polite. Definitely recommended. Its such a treat to have a store like that in that part of the Ottawa region. P.s. if you guys ever get in any lingonberry and cloud berry preserves, I wouldn't complain! :D
We love this new store because of a pleasant shopping experience, great product selection and that there is always something new when we come there. The store is tastefully decorated, has lots of space and is also conveniently located. Full disclosure that we know the owners personally but nonetheless we highly recommend checking it out. In addition recently the store got a nice hot and cold coffee machines and started making tasty sandwiches!
My second time at this deli. Great service, large selection of European food incl. frozen; bread, sausages and cheeses. Clean and well organized. Stuff/owners are very friendly and helpful. Everything purchased is fresh and tastes great. Thank you.
