This is a cute bake shop with kind and friendly staff. Such a nice sweet treat to have while we are in the park. Cinnamon crisp not in the the picture and lemon Danish were my favorites. I wished there was less sweeter/sugar options but my kid loved every bit of it.
Such an incredible bakery! Their breads are amazing, healthy and hearty. Their desserts are insanely delicious. So so happy to have them in the neighborhood. Very good croissants too!
Love this place! They always have staples of fresh bread, rolls, cake squares and cookies. They then add in something different every day. It's always creative, fun and delicious. They've also added savory pastries to their line up along with fresh popcorn. It's a cute, clean store and it's always worth the visit.
I had the carrot cake and I really liked it. It had cream cheese icing, but not too sweet. It also had pineapple in it which didn’t taste pineapple-y but added nice texture. I usually like raisins and bits in my carrot cake but it was good. Very moist and good spice.
Always amazing quality and great service! Bakery is nowhere near me, but I'm always happy to go out of my way to visit.
My husband Mike and I stopped in for a 'little something' for dessert, and what we ordered was fantastic! Mike ordered what is like a Beaver Tail a delicacy originating here in Ottawa!! but his was a very crunchy type, and he loved it!! I ordered a little piece of a chocolate cake that was so moist and so soft, I thought I was eating a chocolate cloud!! We decided to buy both deserts again, but a couple of each of them, to share with family members !! Photo: Rose with Jayme behind the counter doing what she does best!! Britannia Cake Shop, you're blessed to have this young woman as the face of your shop, she's amazing!! *highly recommend the place*
Freshly baked pastries. I bought a day old pastries, but they were still great and we all enjoyed eating it on the water during the sailing race at Britannia yacht club. The lady at the shop was very nice, too. Will go back for sure!
Proper butter croissants, often have good deals on day-olds. Quality over quantity local place.
I have gone to this bakery countless times and they still amaze me every time. The workers are really kind and welcoming. This bakery has a really sweet antique style that I really like. The price range is also great. While you can purchase whole loaves of bread and pieces of cake, there are also candies that cost 25¢, making it perfect for teaching little kids how to spend their money. There is also a selection of savory options such as smoked sausages and pickled vegetables so you don't get too distracted by all the cotton candy and rock candy. All in all, this is an amazing local bakery that you must visit if you find yourself in the Britannia area.
Nice to have a bakery in the neighborhood. Nat's and true loaf breads are very good, though marked up about 2 dollars, and often sold out. Smaller baked goods are made in house - only tried the croissant which was very good. Not crowded. Nice staff. I go a couple times a week for walk by the river and bread to bring home.
