The driver of this cab is unsafe. He was driving below the speed limit of 30 km, which seemed reasonable because the roads are snow covered. I felt comfortable enough to pass him but he sped up, so I slowed down to get back behind him and he slowed down again to 30 kms.
Booked it for when I knew it would be busiest time of day online 3 days in advance. Guy showed up on time was personable and got me there on time in weather that little to be desired. I have used them now ever since the other company failed to show once. It was the right choice to make. Online webooker was the easiest to use I am not much of an app guy I hate cluttering up my phone with things that send push notifications I'm not that tech savvy anymore eh, but old guy still can do stuff when he has to.
Usually turns out ok but a few times they leave if you take 30-60 seconds to get outside. B/c of this i only call when I’m ready in case they’re fast to get There. Well 20 minutes on the phone today and wait time kept getting longer. Booked online but then their website crashed. Refreshed then tried logging in again and it just kept saying error so I assumed it was cancelled and took the bus and arrived over 20 minutes late to my appointment…then they called and said they were waiting outside my house. Hope I don’t get dinged for not cancelling when the website didn’t work and no one would pick up the phone …
Booked a scheduled pick up, well in advance of the pickup time - they told me “no problem, we’re only a 15-20 minute wait”. 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive, still no car. I called 4 times, the first 3 they hung up after waiting on hold. When I finally got through they told me they hadn’t assigned a car yet. 40 minutes after scheduled pickup, still no car. Use anything other than Duffy’s. This isn’t the first time this has happened. They’re very unreliable
I was having a bad day at the place where i stayed for myself and my kids to enjoy when i needed to get back to my suite and my car has engine trouble.I was looking forward and hopeful since i can rely on some ride company.I waited for 2 hrs for the cab that didn’t came.Finally the front desk called me said cab is here. Duffy’s taxi yellow 456 if not mistaken but whoever was driving the cab made me realize that there are still a lot of good people that have the heart to feel my needs.Especially in my time of struggles as i was being taken advantage of and used. To the driver, thank you and may God bless you and your family with joy and blessings and may you pass on that goodness.Everybody has goodness in them and everybody deserves a chance.
Great service as you can set pick up time for following day. Also, to make a change for pick up time is easy as they have your info saved by phone number. Driver was friendly and helped load up a lot of luggage I had. I will keep using Duffy's.
I wish Duffy’s Taxi had other competitors apart from Unicity because there customer service is low and tacky from both businesses or companies whatever you want to call them. Imagine you call to get a cab to pick you up. You had to wait an hour for the cab to arrive. You then received a call that your cab has arrived and when the cab reaches the driver is going to ask you where you are going without you even sitting in the car, only to tell you to stay and wait he will send another cab to come and pick you up after you have been waiting for the cab to come….. After calling the office to report the incident they are going to tell you to just wait on another cab….. Well done Duffy’s Taxi !!!!Keep up the good work
Waited 40 minutes for a call after being told 10 minutes, was told trial hour delays. Called back 10 minutes later, ride had been cancelled. When I spoke to someone to ask why I got the rudest agent who snapped and belittled me, then disconnected when I asked for a supervisor. This is the level of service I have come to expect from dispatch.
Extremely rude customer service. Booked at taxi to get to the airport on the app, for a specific time. That time comes around and the app never assigned a driver. Called in and was told they needed a credit card had I not called in, how would I have known? Bounced around from rep to rep until I hung up and canceled the ride. Worst service. Do not use ever. There reps are some of the saddest and ruddest people you will ever speak to.
Absolutely terrible company and I will not be using them anymore. Countless terrible and some very scary experiences with them but the most recent has pushed me to never use them again. The older white woman with glasses and long blonde/white hair who drives for duffys needs to be fired immediately. She is a disrespectful, unprofessional person who should not be working in any job related to customer service. 100% awful. Do better duffys. Hire better drivers. Trash company.
