This is the best 'dive bar' in Minneapolis! I said it's not only because the staff is cool and the food is yummy and drinks are right on time, BUT because they consistently offer such a diverse array of musical talents! We are surprised a little bit at every show! - and for the Deadheads in the crowd, every Sunday night they have exactly what Jerry would have ordered we're talking 550-something weeks so farof Grateful Dead Sunday nights! I have painted there with the music many times, and four of my pieces especially live above the front windows bathed in blacklight . Go check them out and tell them that Chuck sent you.
I love having local musicians playing every night. I’m 39, retired and live 3 blocks away. They have always treated me with their nose down at me. Having served in the business I have never left less than a 30% tip. It’s currently 10:49 I was speaking to the owner and she said she closes at 11. Has great potential with great people. Maybe it’s my 20 years in the military but the website should be up to date.
I came here for my first time to see a dear friend, Max Rewitzer, perform on the colorful, eclectic stage late one Wednesday night. We loved the cozy feel of this place. The staff were great, the music of the highest quality, and the wall of artwork both highly entertaining/engaging as well as contributing to a good cause.
Classic urban neighborhood bar. Great service starting with a greeting when you walk through the door. One of my wife's friend's band was on stage for our entertainment and they were very entertaining and a $5 per person cover...beer was cold and the wings were cooked well and hot. You do not need to cross the WI border to experience a local neighborhood bar. Put them on your "what the hell, let's try something different" bucket list and be welcomed to the neighborhood. Classic Minneapolis neighborhood bar!!
Nice place good atmosphere. The employees were nice and professional. The food was terrible. I ordered a burger medium and got really well done. Music was awesome.
I was here about 8 months ago and the sound guy was obscenely mean to some of the women there. Food was good. Bartender was great.
Always fun to see St. Dominic's here particularly when the sax shows up later and our entire crew is immensely appreciative of the establishment's insistence on checking vaccine status. As always, great burgers and wide selection of reasonably priced brews. Rock on, Driftwood!
Elated to welcome my friends from D.C. to play in the neighborhood. They rocked the house D.C. style. Robert's debut with the baritone sax was awesome. They''ll be back ...I hope
Nice neighborhood bar on Nicollet Ave, in south Minneapolis, near I35 and 46th st exit.. They play blues and rock music and have live music some nights. A few sidewalk tables. Food after 6. Burgers and sandwiches.
Definitely a dive bar, the venue for bands goes over well, food otherwise, pretty pricey for mostly frozen food, but Minneapolis for you
