Dr. Ted Kosalka

My daughter is an only child because of the trauma and injuries I sustained by this Doctor during childbirth. I checked into hospital at 5 am for labor pains and was told to push all morning by the nurses and this Gynecologist only showed up around 1.30pm. Only after he comes, they discover that baby is in a posterior position which the Dr should have known if an ultrasound had been taken in late stages of pregnancy or on the day of delivery. Once he finds out the baby is in a posterior position, rather than doing C-section right away, he proceeded to use instruments- forceps etc without informing me and my husband about the potential risks involved. He had no respect or care for the whole childbirth process. I should have been taken into a proper surgery room to repair the damage that he caused. Instead, He left me with constant excruciating pain for 3 months after delivery and unable to properly care for my new infant. I lost a lot blood with my hemoglobin dropping to 65.. and the worst part.. his improper care and delivery left me with 3rd degree tears I’ve had to live with for last 19 years.. ruining the quality of my life. Please save yourself the trouble and find yourself a better Gynecologist!

I respect Ted and his team very much he delivered my daughter at humber while my original gyno was no where to be seen and I've been going to see him ever since.. 10 years later! He's very knowledgeable professional and listens to your concerns!

Very good knowledgeable doctor, Time to time you got to wait for appointment, 30-40 min. And sometimes he takes you earlier if you come early, But these are pregnant women, you have to understand the wait, like everywhere almost. wife loves him, receptionist is nice.

Very experienced and professional doctor. Dr Kosalka followed my pregnancy all the way to and including birth. Got the highest respect for him and all staff at Humber!

Very sweet and caring doctor. Listens to your concerns and answers all questions thoroughly. I would recommend him to anyone pregnant : his secretary is very kind as well

The doctor himself is good, but unfortunately the operation of there office is horrendous it starts with reception the secretary is extremely unprofessional she booked me once on a day there office was closed and then booked me an hour earlier then when they open. How can she not know her own operating hours? And on top of everything when I went back in she accused me of missing the appointment.... she yells on the phone in front of patients and is rude and belligerent when speaking to her. Scheduled appointments aren’t ever honoured every time I have waited at least an hour to 2 hours after my scheduled appointment to see the doctor. Its a pity because the doctor himself is good, but his office management falls short and effects his rating. Go else where because it’s just not worth the trouble.

I'm NOT recommend this doctor. I asked him at my first very important ultrasound visit to draw blood test on toxoplasmosis due to the fact I have a cat. He told that ok, we will do it. After 2 months I found out that he DIDN'T do it!!! He put me and especially my baby at a risk of infection! I think he could retire now.

I got an emergency referral here. The receptionist is firm but a great lady once you get to know her. Doctor was magnificent and quick even though his office was crowded. No complaints.

Dr. Kosalka - always very professional and friendly. Carolina, the admin, is a nice lady, upfront she may seem tough at times, but she is not, once you get to know her she is a really nice person and will go above and beyond. I've been their patient since 2002. although it's hard to get appointments.

Good doctor but HORRIBLE receptionist! He needs to fire her.. She is very rude to patients, yells on the phone and during visits. She must be his wife otherwise I dont see a reason why he would keep her around. But doctor Kasalka himself is nice and caring.
