McHenry Dental Specialists and Dr. Norman Ezkoz, DDS in particular, were faced with the difficult challenge. My teeth! A 12-year old root canal on a molar had developed an abscess and either had to be re-treated or, pulled. Hopeful we could save the tooth, Dr. Ezkoz and his friendly and experienced staff walked me through a step-by-step explanation of my tooth, the process and the costs at the consultation appointment. After learning of the lower success rate on retreated route canals, a series of x-rays and a CAT scan, we decided to attempt the retreat. My 7:30 AM appointment began with a refresher on all of the details just to be sure I understood. Entering into the appointment, it took about 1.5 hours, and was completely painless. So much so that I actually fell asleep while they completed their work. While I still understand that there are no guarantees, I am confident that my chances have improved because of Dr Ezkoz and McHenry Dental Specialists. ~ Chris B
