This Doctor has been seeing my Dad, He is impossible to contact since he nor his help answer the phone and neglect to call you back. He has done nothing but bill my Dad and has offered no help to him at all. You might as well see Donald Duck, you'll get better treatment.

Dr. Steffens has been the best Neurologist for my needs due to Multiple Sclerosis and Huntington's Disease. His knowledge of the VA was instrumental in us finally breaking free from three years in appeals for being granted Service Connected Disability. Prior Neurologists in Michigan that I had seen weren't able to even ask me the right questions regarding symptoms during my 10 years of Active Duty Navy that should have been pursued and treated as MS 25 yrs ago.
Dr. Steffens has a wonderful demeanor and we look forward to each visit. My wife and I feel he is capable of treating anything my quirky neurological needs throw at us, and that he undeniably has my best interests in mind and wants the best possible quality of life that we can achieve now and for the remainder of my stay on planet Earth. One of the most important lifestyle changes that Dr. Steffens insisted that I needed to make, was the choice to become more physically fit. I have lost over 20 pounds, I feel more confident about myself, I feel that my mental sharpness has improved, and I no longer sit at home feeling sorry about myself and dwelling on what I can no longer do. Now I celebrate clearing small hurdles, and think proudly about what I CAN do. 😃
It was very fortunate that we even moved here from Michigan for my wife's work, and that we were referred to Dr. Steffens' care. I can't thank him enough for the positive impact he's made on my life!

I have been a patient of Dr. Steffens for over three yeara now. He has been over seeing my care for Primary Progress Multiple Schrosis. He helps me manage my symptoms for this disease. He is very aware of the new treatments that are available and those that will be available from the research companies. He tells me that he has not put me on the back burner, but on a hot plate for anything that might prove helpful for this dipilatating disease. I know that he has my best interest at heart. He is very kind. He has a quirky sense of humor. :)

He diagnosed my mother with Alzheimer's, and has taken such great care of her. He's also very kind to my husband and I,as we are the caregivers. I couldn't ask for a better doctor for my mother!

If you have Parkinson's disease and need a knowledgeable doctor, Dr. Steffens is the physician to see. We travel from Idaho Falls to Twin Falls to have him as our doctor and it is worth every mile of the trip. His understanding of the disease and treatments is invaluable.
