Not only did the Dr. not show any interest in my concerns about my night vision changes, the billing department thought that they could break the contractual agreement they had with my insurance company and charge me what the insurance didn't pay. The insurance company didn't pay them because they didn't file the claim with my insurance in the time frame allowed, so two years later I receive a bill for the full balance of their screw-up. I knew something wasn't right with that bill so I contacted my insurance company to verify my suspicions and I was right. Before you pay them check with your insurance company so you can be sure you're not getting duped like they tried to dupe or scam me for money that was their responsibility to write off because of their error. I have since received excellent care from Little Wood Vision Clinic in Shoshone, they did all the tests this office did for a better price and the Dr. addressed all my concerns.
My appointment went smoothly though it did seem rushed. The Dr was very kind and knowledgeable. I was told to go out front and the girls would take care of me. They checked me out handed me a script and I went on my way. I noticed after I left that I only had one script and I needed one for both glasses and contacts. So, I called to see if they could be emailed to me, I was told no the cannot and that I needed to come back to their office and go back to the optical department to have the lenses fitted I had no idea I was supposed to do thatI asked if I could just get the prescription sense I would probably be buying my contacts somewhere else she said no she could not send it and I had to come back to the optical department like I was supposed to. Right from the beginning of my phone call the woman sounded very annoyed and frustrated with me even though I was just confused. Then when I arrived in the optical department a very helpful lady helped me by simply printing the script I asked for in the first place when I called after I had left. I asked if I had to be fitted for a trial lenses she just said no you don't have to you can shop around and order from me if you want to so I was given false information over the phone forcing me to come back in person when a script could have simply been sent to me.All and all I left this appointment feeling like I was made to be an annoying nusense to the person that took my phone call. It just seemed very unprofessional in my opinion. Such a simple lack of communication could have been handled in a much better way. It was very stressful to be talked to that way for asking a simple question.
My husband and I had appointments at 8:20 and 8:40. We arrived for our appointment at 8:05 and the door was locked. We waited in the parking lot with 2 other customers. Both of those customers tried the door also. A woman came to the door at 8:15 when the second man tried again but she didn’t open the door because he was walking back to his car. We finally called at 8:22 and Darby answered the phone and told us that the door doesn’t get unlocked until 9:00 but we could knock and get the attention of the front desk person and they would let us in. We said we have been and no one is opening the door. Darby became very condescending and said we could try it again and someone would answer. Darby continued with her rude attitude until we decided to tell her there were enough other eye doctors in Twin Falls and we would find another. I’m not sure why a business that has scheduled appointments does not open the doors for those customers, but the customer is expected to stand outside in the cold trying to get someone’s attention to open the doors and then get treated like we are the ignorant ones because we didn’t stand outside in the cold for 20+ minutes pounding in the door, especially when the receptionist had come to the door at least once and since the gentleman had turned away decided not to inconvenience herself to ask if she could help or was he or anyone else waiting in the parking lot here for appointments. CONGRATULATIONS on your business thriving so well that you don’t need new clients since your customer service or lack there of is ATROCIOUS!
Had eye surgery by Dr Halverson biggest mistake I ever made cannot see as good after surgery as I did before surgery . No warranty on eye surgery I know it was 2years when I seen you last but if you remember the last time I was in your office I told you I couldn't see very good and I ask what you were going to do it made you mad ,you told me to get out of your office and not come back . you give me a phone number of some one in Boise it would. Cost me over $1000.00 I didn't think it would do any good because he would believe you and not me so like I said earlier no warranty on eye surgery M
I’ve been a patient for a couple years. They always take great care of me and help keep my eyes as healthy as they can be. The staff is fabulous and Dr. Halverson is very kind and professional. Thanks for all you do!
We've been waiting for our appt since October! This is the second time they have canceled the day before! Absolutely unreliable and if you actually want your surgery done you should go somewhere else.
