Dr. Jennifer O'Leary, ND

Ever since my very first visit with Dr. O'Leary, she made me feel comfortable, at ease & hopeful. Before I came to AJA I had just visited with a conventional doctor because my husband & I decided we wanted to start trying to get pregnant. I have never had a regular menstrual cycle, I knew I needed to lose weight & to just be healthier in general, so I went in for a physical. On a follow-up appointment they told me that I am hypothyroid (threw around words like PCOS) & told me that I needed to lose weight. They gave me a low dose prescription & then directed me to a calorie counting app & that was that. I left from there with no understanding of what I had been told or REALLY didn’t know what to do about it. I knew little about thyroid function & I had lost weight in the past (only to gain it all back) & not in a very healthy way. Confused, I looked for an alternative. During my first couple visits to AJA, after expressing my concerns with Dr. O’Leary (and a teary consult), I did a hormone test, allergy test & blood test. It was confirmed that I was extremely hypothyroid; now, with a prescription, my number is in the normal range. Also, my hormones were all out of balance & with the combination of my thyroid & my hormones being ‘off’, Dr. O’Leary explained that this would cause my body to store fat. In addition, I am gluten, dairy, egg & soy intolerant and I had to completely change my diet. I LOVE Dr. O’Leary because she explained everything to me so that I could understand how my body is functioning & how it should be functioning. I left her office with a good understanding of my thyroid function, my hormone balance & proper whole food nutrition. I feed my body, instead of starving it. I follow a gluten-free (mostly Paleo) diet & I have more energy, a better attitude & outlook, and I am on the way to being the most healthy me! I have recommended Dr. O’Leary to ALL my friends and family & each and every one of them has benefited from visiting with her. She is the best!

Dr. O'leary helped me in a huge way by helping me to get ridd of a stomache infection that i had had for many years she has greatly improved my quality of life and has lifted a huge birden off of my back and i will be forever greatfull. thank you so much for your help Dr. O'leary

Dr Jennifer O'Leary has been a positive light in my journey to better health. One of the qualities I admire most in her as a doctor is her sense of encouragement. She truly has my total health in mind as she gently directs me to make better choices about my body. I would recommend Dr. O'Leary to anyone who desires to live a healthier life.

She got to the bottom of my problems right away. Very caring, listens to you and wants to help you get well as soon as possible. She is very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I will never need to see another doctor again, I have found her.

Dr. Jennifer was an answer to prayer.. I called her after being very frustrated with other Docs who could not help me. She helped me understand the many aspects of what could be causing my problem. I have seen her several times and have had great results. I have also learned alot about nutrition and how the body works. I highly recommend her to anyone.
