Quaint little place with homely service, good food and reasonable prices.
I sat at the bar for breakfast had 3 eggs bacon toast and hashbrowns with a small glass of oj and milk for $12.10. I enjoyed being able to see them make the food. The three eggs and 4 strips of bacon filled me up well and tasted delicious. Crowd was small and older and server/cook did a great job of keeping everyone happy.

Worst. Breakfast. Ever. Watered down coffee, oily toast, flat cinnamon roll. Ordered the SOS on toast and the "beef" and gravey are prepackaged and have horrible taste and color. DONT RECCOMEND TO ANYONE!!

This was our very first visit to the Downtown Coffee Shop and we liked it. I kept seeing posts about it in the Taste of Bellevue, Nebraska group on Facebook, but didn't know where it was until the Trick or Treat event last year in Old Town Bellevue.
I had wanted to try it out and thought this would be a good place to take my daughters for brunch. We sat down, took a look at the menu, and the first thing I noticed were the prices. The meals seemed to be very affordable and I was excited to try the menu options. I decided on the blueberry pancakes and bacon for my meal; I also added a side of hash browns. My oldest had pancakes and my youngest a cinnamon roll.
I do have to mention that while the meals are at a great price the juice is a little pricey for the size of cup you receive, but not a lot of money. It's normal to pay more for your drink, especially juice at a restaurant and that is understandable. I just wished it was a bigger glass because I love orange juice! Overall, the total that we paid for our meal was still affordable.
Now, let's talk bang for your buck! $7.00 for 3 pancakes and 4 slices of bacon. Shall I say that again? $7.00 for 3 pancakes and 4 slices of bacon. That is a very good deal in my eyes and I'll gladly pay that again.
The food was so good! I bit into the hash browns and immediately knew that there was something different about them. They were homemade. I made sure to ask our waitress about them being homemade. She told me that most of their food was homemade and I like that.
Our waitress was nice and checked on us a couple of times throughout our meal. I wasn't sure if we would be rushed or bout because it was close to closing time, but I didn't feel like we were being an inconvenience at all. That makes you feel good because some places seem to start to rush you out before closing time and it seems like you are in the way. Not here.
Price - Very Affordable
Food - Great
Service - Good, we'd go back
