A nice sized park with a zipline. Parking is a premium. Majority is Street parking. There is a small community center parking lot. It was nice to see an older style wooden playground/fort. Lots of green space when the fields are not being used. Overall I liked it. I didn't like that just cause it was outdoors almost everyone wasn't wearing masks. But that's just me being cautious.
Great little community centre with perhaps the best playground in the city of Vancouver. My son loved virtually every aspect of the playground area. It's a local park that wouldn't draw tourists or people from outside the local area, including myself, except for the fact that the playground is worth the trip. Multiple different areas for all ages of kids. Adjacent fields would work well for summer picnics or playing soccer, frisbee, etc. If you need to get outside and you want to give yourself and your kids a change of scenery, this is a great choice.
They have a nice and big playground with a Zipline. The park has lots of shade and a wading pool. I think parking was kind tight though but still a good place to bring kids to.
We’re in Vancouver on vacation. We found the community centre near our Airbnb. We never went inside the community centre, which we noticed had a fitness centre, but the massive playground outside it was probably the best we’ve ever been to. Great for all ages, even our two year old little girl. There’s also a huge, tree lined, park with lots of space to play your chosen sport a baseball diamond on one end, or meditate like the dude sitting right beside the playground full of screaming kids. If there’s a way to test your mindfulness, that’s it. The community centre has restrooms on site accessible to those people in the playground. And they celebrate inclusivity see photo of Mural. It’s got my vote.
Woah! What an awesome upgrade for the park! There are so many different structures for children of all ages and abilities - zip line, in-ground mini trampoline, a water spout that overflows into a giant sandbox watch out for cat poop!, loads of slides and various types of climbing apparatuses that will keep even older children challenged and engaged. There's also plentiful seating for adults, and it's adjacent to a 2 hoop basketball court. Top it all off with bathrooms and a water fountain on-site, and this is amazing park! I should give this 1 star so it doesn't get even more busy!
Came here to check out the playground. Looked well thought out and there was plenty for our guy to do. Stuff for small kids and plenty for the older ones. Bring a change of clothes since there is sand and water at this one. Worth coming to. We will be back. Probably several times. Didn't have a chance to check out the programs offered, just really liked the playground. Will try our the water play area next time.
Brief but great 1st experience so far at Douglas Park CC. We attended our first session of Baby Sign Language and are very excited with the upcoming classes!
Great park for a picnic. Tons of shade. Excellent playground for younger kids and older kids. Basketball courts too! The kids park includes a water feature that is great for beating the heat. Keep your head up when walking around though, tons of folks playing Pokemon!
Great new playground where kids can play for hours with old but we'll maintained washroom. The playground caters to wade age group from infants to older school age. Lots of tall trees offers shady areas for picnic.
One of the best playgrounds in the area. A big one made of wood with very little plastic ot metal and bark mulch ground covering instead of the ubiquitous rubber. Very popular, so can sometimes get a bit full
