This has quickly became my most favourite pizza place in Calgary helps that it is so close to home! the toppings are always so fresh and not overloaded, the crust tastes amazing and has the perfect thinness, slight crunch and char highly recommend you try it if you love thin crust pizzas! Service is always good too :
Lookout there’s a new go to pizza spot on the NW… finally! Super impressed with the pizza at Doughfella’s. We normally stick to the classics but my young daughter had to have a butter chicken pizza and it turned out being our favourite. I can wait to eat my way through the whole menu.
Really good pizza with a wonderful stone fired crust. I had the Margherita, which is so nice, simple and delicious. However... I also ordered the fish "wings" and they were not the greatest. I highly recommend the pizza though!
Not sure if we went on an off day, but this pizza was not good. The crust was great saved the 3 stars; however, with that said the rest of the pizza was pretty bad. Lots of sauce, nowhere near enough toppings and the pineapple was certainly not fresh. Probably wouldn't come here again and I am not very likely to recommend this pizza to anyone. We ordered the Hawaiian and the four-cheese. One of the cheeses on the four-cheese was the Kraft Parmesan cheese, the ham on the Hawaiian is the same ham you would see at Pizza 73 or a lower end pizza shop, overall pretty disappointed with this experience.
Pizza was missing 2 of the toppings advertised, and generally stingy in terms of toppings and cheese please hold the crumbly Kraft Parm next time. We called to complain, they offered to make another pizza for us, but it was the same as before except it featured one leaf of spinach which had been carved into cm-sized squares, yet still no artichoke. We wish these Fellas nothing but success, but for the price, there are better options in Calgary West.
I've tried a few of their basic pizzas now and I have to say I'm a huge fan. The crust, sauce, and cheeses are amazing. The rest of the toppings are nothing special but they don't need to be when the base is so good. I also quite enjoy their breadsticks but I have a bit of an issue with the advertising around them. All the images online both their site and online ordering sites depict the breadsticks as actual sticks think Little Casers or Olive Garden. In fact, their breadsticks are actually a pizza with oil and seasoning cut into stick shapes post cook. Nothing close to the images/descriptions they have posted but still tasty! Pizzas are quite expensive for what you do get. Its hard to convince company to order from here when closer/faster pizza places are half the cost. I'll keep ordering for myself tho!
I ordered cheese, pepperoni and Hawaiian for a kids' birthday party. The kids loved it! Thin crust is easy to eat for those with orthodontic appliances.
EDIT> Got a callback from them to acknowledge their mistake and to offer to make a new pizza with the correct ingredients, so that’s good. 2nd time at Doughfellas. First time was when they opened and we thought it wasn’t bad, but maybe a tad overpriced. This time, my custom pizza came with 2 ingredients I didn’t ordered. Fine, mistakes happens and I live close. So I called to be told right away, without even bothering checking the order, that my pizza came with those two extra ingredients by default which is simply not true according to their website and my order. I offered to send a screenshot of my order mentioning the only 2 ingredients I ordered. So I explained a second time and hung up when I realized I would get 0 help to make things right. Pizza crust was good though. Not very generous with toppings. I reaallly was hoping for a great pizza place in Crestmont but if I want a good pizza in the same price range, I will go to UNA on 85th. They also don’t try to fight the customer when they screw up.
Amazing new Italian pizzeria for take-out. The pizza is authentic, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly and fast! My new favorite local pizza spot!
Happy to have found this new pizza spot. Thin crusts, Neapolitan style pizza with great toppings. I recommend it, and I’ll be back for sure.
