OK food. Poor service. Here are things that did not happen: We did not have anyone take our order until we hailed someone. We did not get a water refill. We did not get one of our items. We did not get anyone checking in about the quality of the food or how things were so we couldn't tell anyone of the deficiency until flagging someone down. We did not get acknowledgement any time we thanked anyone. We did not get an explanation of differences between two menu items the first time we asked "did you look at the menu?" Yes. We did look at the menu but the difference was not enumerated on the menu. We did not get a smile or a friendly tone at any point in the night from all but one staff member. We did not get a table that was located in a clean area. We did not have anyone clear the dishes for the first 45 minutes of our meal, although, to be fair, we didn't get food for about 20 minutes after we ordered either. Interestingly, a lot of these were offered to the table besides us. I have no idea what the discrepancy is. Anyhow. The food itself was just OK. I'm a big fan of noodles and dumplings in general but even I had some trouble getting some items down. Most of the items were definitely in just the OK range. It was greasy without being tasteful. Many of the spices were used in quantity without balance. For a few of the dishes all I could taste was grease and the mala spice. The only exception was probably the special noodle. I made my concerns known and paid the bill in full except for an item which they took off beforehand for it being 45 minutes late. Wouldn't visit again.
A very nice and convenient place to grab quick Chinese food when on the run. We stopped by before taking the flight and ordered a few different thing. The food came very quickly and reasonable priced. Unlike the stereotypical fast American Chinese food restaurants, their food is fairly authentic. They also have high chair available for kids. My favorite was the pickled string beans which tasted very similar to what I had at home in Sichuan.
Was in town for a concert and decided since this was nearby to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant had a great ambiance and was very clean. The servers were friendly, attentive specifically asked about food allergies, which was great and doesn't happen often enough in the restaurant industry, and got food out to us in a reasonable time frame. Speaking of the food, it was fantastic. My daughter said the fried chicken wontons with garlic sauce are the best she's ever had which is high praise since wontons are a staple of her diet as a college student. The sweet and sour cucumber was also ridiculously good. Everything we ordered was enjoyable, and I'd love to eat all of it again. They were also really affordable for Seattle, and had a menu that accommodated vegetarians, meat eaters, and those with food allergies.
I ate at Dough Zone in July 2022. I would definitely recommend joining the Yelp Waitlist ahead of time, if you are able. There was a bit of a wait, even at 3:30ish. The food was absolutely delicious, it definitely lives up to its reputation! We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share with the table -- including the pan fried pork buns which are a MUST!. The dumplings were also incredible, as was the scallion pancake. The service was also fast and friendly. I highly recommend Dough Zone if you are looking for a great meal!!
Amazing dumplings and noodles! Very friendly staff, great service and very quick at getting tables turned around! The checklist menu is easy and quick. If you don’t know much about dumplings, their website of useful with loads of pictures for ordering reference.
Dough Zone was amazing! A resident friend recommended it, and it did not disappoint. Initially, there was an hour long wait, but I believe you can make them in advance on the Yelp app. We chose to eat almost an item from each section, and they were all so good!!! The pork BAO buns and Dan Dan noodles were our favorite! Prices were very reasonable for how much food we ended up eating.
Great food. We had to wait 35 minutes for a party of three. We order Sweet and Sour Cucumber, Steamed Chicken Dumplings, Pork Wonton w/chili and Dan Dan Noodles. Everything was delicious.
The wait to get in can be a little long if any events are going on or during busy times, but it's worth it! We ordered several items and they were paced so well - quick but not overcrowding our table. Everything was fresh and tasty.
I recommend the Q-bao Pan-fried pork buns and the soup dumplings. I am not a big fan of the beef pancake roll and the noodles, but still affordable with great portion. Overall, this is a good restaurant in the area, and I would suggest to join their waitlist on Yelp beforehand to avoid the wait!
We were visiting Seattle with our grandchildren, and they really wanted to eat here since they have been here before & love the food. We went for dinner and lunch. The food was delicious and fresh tasting. The service is fast but the servers are not friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very busy and there is a very long wait if you didn’t put your name on a waitlist system on Yelp.
