A portion of the model ships can be viewed in a small living area that has been converted into a show room. There are many handmade ships to see, but their close proximity makes picture taking difficult, there are only a few displays that you can actually walk around and view from all angles.
Most cases are lined up, end to end, lining the walls and halls and could easily fill a 3 storey museum if they were spaced properly. The cramped space made it difficult for me to truly appreciate each piece properly, let alone all the reflections on the glass made for a dim view.
Until the renovations/expansion has begun and are completed, this space is not wheelchair friendly, even those using a walker may find navigation difficult as there isn't even much room for two people to pass easily in the narrow 'corridors'.
I was careful when walking and turning around, not to knock a display with my camera case - there just isn't enough room - and I felt like a bull in a china shop. I'll be back to visit, when (if) they ever expand the museum into a proper venue.

Great selection of models with a lot of information about each.
