Story

Opening in June 2009, Donna Marie's Gluten Free Bakery is Rochester, New York's first and only dedicated gluten-free/peanut free, retail/wholesale bakery. Now with two locations: Greece and Penfield!! We offer only gluten-free baked goods from wedding cakes to breadcrumbs and everything in between. We are also peanut free and many of our products are dairy, soy and other allergens free (see our websites allergen page for details).

Our goal is to make products that have a traditional taste and texture, just without the gluten. That's why we say at Donna Marie's, "It's Gluten Free, Not Taste Free!"

We were looking for a quality gluten free cake at a reasonable price for our daughter’s 3rd birthday. After talking with the bakers they made wonderful suggestions! We were able to order 3 cookie cakes and at a great price! They were so helpful and honest which is hard to come by and so appreciated. We also took a sample platter home of the cookies and they were gone by the next day. Would recommend to anyone, not just gluten free individuals.
We highly recommend this Bakery to anyone who is looking for gluten free desserts! The gluten free and dairy free options are absolutely delicious. Red velvet cupcake was the best I had eaten in a long time. Thank you for the delicacies!!
First time here after hearing how really good it was. The cinnamon rolls were so good! With the perfect amount of frosting too. Best Red velvet cupcakes ever, moist. The cookies were balanced soft and chewy. Definitely will be back!
If you give one of just about anything to a friend or family member without telling them it's gluten free...they will never know. The treats are that indistinguishable from gluten-containing. We've tried this experiment on about a half dozen people over the years, esp during the holidays. They all thought the treats brownies, cupcakes, cookies, truffles, cinnamon rolls, English muffins we're just regular wheat-based treats. Wonderful gluten free bakery, friendly employees as well, fairly priced.
Amazing, high-quality baked goods and great service from a local small business. I always get cupcakes when I come here and have never been disappointed. They are always delicious and leave me wanting to eventually go back for more. Staff is kind, building is kept clean, and finding a parking spot was not an issue for me.
I don’t normally eat gluten free but I do now from time to time because of my daughter. She recommended I swing by and boy was I impressed. Only had a cupcake but wow was it good. Cupcake was so moist and frosting so tasty. Could have fooled me this was gluten free. Keep up the good work!
The honey multigrain bread is to DIE for. I regret only buying one loaf! It has more of crumbly, cakey texture but is still light and the crust gets delightfully crispy when toasted. Already plotting my next return to Henriette to stock up.
I am gluten sensitive being diagnosed with Diverticulitis and Ulcerative colitis, so that makes gluten Impossible for me to consume. I purchased a dozen of cupcakes for my 51st Birthday and I loved them my whole family couldn't believe they were gluten free this was my first purchase. The customer service was Wonderful I plan on returning to the bakery for more gluten free foods. Please give this bakery a try you will love it. Peace

We ordered a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting for a baby shower. I sent them one of the invitations for idea's. It was perfect and delicious!! Rave reviews for this bakery!!
