Great Harvest Bread

Great Harvest Baking Company milling whole wheat flour for over 40 years. Breads and baked goods that are truly simple, wholesome and delicious. A wide selection of bread like cinnamon chip white, honey whole wheat, Swedish rye, challah, old fashioned white and much more. Very limited on the sweets with just a handful of muffins, cookies and scones. My choice was the Savannah Apple Bar with chunks of apple, an oatmeal cookie crust, wholesome rolled oats, and a sweet hint of shaved coconut. A deli is available with freshly baked bread, made from scratch sandwiches. Layout of the bakery is very tight and not user friendly as the checkout is first and you have to work your way to the back to see breads on the rake and a small display case of sweets. #philoffoodreviews

Cool little place, always great music playing, staff are always friendly. Bread, cookies and scones are delicious. I have yet to try a sandwich but imagine they are delicious as well. Will add you to my list when referring others for lunch or a treat! Thank you!

Thanks to all the honey baked into in the bread, it is tasty! However, this town’s franchise of the Montana-based bakery chain is sub-par due to their poor customer service. We personally struggle to purchase bags of their milled flour because the teenage employees do not know if they sell flour they do and if so, how to ring up the transaction on the cash register without a manager on-duty to do it for them. For these reasons, coupled with their overly-premium prices I personally do not patron this Great Harvest franchise.

Great Harvest Bread Company is DELICIOUS! The breads and rolls and cookie are amazing! And the small deli for lunch time sandwiches is spectacular! Wow! The sandwich choices made on fresh breads or panini bread are delicious! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

Went in at 10 am and ordered a loaf of Challah, Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, and Irish Soda Bread. The woman at the register was chipper and the bread was fresh out of the oven. I walked the bread home and then photographed everything. Even so, an hour later the bread was still deliciously warm! Glad to have fresh bread here in Lowertown.

The bread here is amazing. They also have sandwich from 11:00-m to 3:00 pm and they are very good too. Everybody is very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely wonderful breads/baked items. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Lunch there is fantastic! Limited menu but often unique and quite delicious. The location gets a lot of foot traffic because it is on Broadway Avenue in Rochester. It can be difficult to find seating, outdoor seating is very noisy due to location, but it is a wonderful place overall.

I adhered to all of their ordering requirements prior to Thanksgiving knowing it was a busy time. Ordered in advance, arranged pickup in the required time window. When I walked in and said the name they located my ticket with all the order information and told me they messed up and didn't save our order. The younger worker knew it was screwed up just from hearing the name and immediately got the manager. Sold out. I guess you were just hoping we wouldn't show up? Thanks for nothing.

Their chicken and rice soup is so delicious! Will visit again when in town.

Tried their veggie Baja sandwich and it was great! A veggie sandwich that can hold it's weight against a meaty foe. Staff made great recommendations for bread. Real muffins too.
