Dog Idol

My golden retriever has had anxiety over bathing and blowing fan since puppy. She would run away from the fan in past experience with petsmart and other groomers. Allan the owner of the Dog's Idol was very patient and took a gradual approach to getting her calm. On the other hand, the Modern Pets (previous groomer) would charge double because of the time spent on dealing with her anxiety.

I brought my 5 months old Chow Chow puppy to be groomed at Dog Idol. Dog Idol was a recommendation from my vet as I disclosed that I was unable to find a groomer for my Chow Chow puppy due to her severe anxiety. My vet told me that Dog Idol was able to groom for an aggressive Chow Chow at the vet and told us to bring our puppy in to see how it goes. The owner and his wife were very welcoming and listened to our concerns with our puppy in terms of her anxiety. They were able to work with my puppy and I to ensure a more comfortable experience for my puppy. Due to their patience working with my Chow Chow (she does not let any strangers touch her and she would nip at people if they try as she is afraid), my puppy is now relaxed and comfortable with grooming. Initially I brought my puppy to PetSmart, but they turned my puppy away due to her anxiety. We were worried that no one would groom her due to her anxiety problems as we work on her socialization skills. We are grateful for Dog Idol for being so patient and detail oriented for our Chow Chow. I highly recommend Dog Idol to anyone.

They are a very busy store with hardworking owners. I am so glad they opened up in this area as it is so much closer and very convenient to where I reside. They are always polite and courteous. Never more than 3 or 4 hours of grooming before my dog is ready for pick up. I've also used their daycare service as do many other pet owners. Very good work!

Owner is super nice and friendly, especially to the dogs. My dog is excited going there.

I started bringing my dog there 3 years ago and I am grateful I found this place. Previously, my dog got very nervous with groomers, but not at Dog Idol. They do a great job with the grooming. Strongly recommend.
