Distress centre has helped me get through some of the darkest periods of my life. Please do not listen to the negative reviews, coming from people with expectations that this should be some "quick fix" for all of your problems. The service you provide is invaluable and so deeply appreciated by those who it has helped. Thank you.
Linda, one of the counselors there, talks at you the whole time during a session. Talks about her own life even and does not listen. She literally talks at you the entire time. Wish I were exaggerating. Active listening to understand your clients is one of the most important aspects of being a therapist.
