Discount Tire Store - Rockford, IL

My experience at this location was amazing. My morning was harrowing, as I had never had a tire pop on me before. It was easy to make an appointment online with the store, and when I called I was assured that my problem could be taken care of with no issues. When I arrived, the store was very busy and it looked like it had been that way for a while, but all around me the staff members were extremely professional and courteous. The gentleman who assisted me, Bill, did not make me feel rushed because they were busy or stupid because I didn't know much about tires or cars in general. His recommendation seemed honest and I did not feel that I was being sold things I did not need. In and out in 45 minutes with appointment. Extremely satisfied with my experience!

I go here for car and pickup truck tires.. good selection from various manufacturers... And if you have a leaking tire they will check it out and repair it for free!!! Yes..free.. even if you did not buy the bad tire from them!! Very popular , so usually a bit of a wait unless you are one of the first to arrive in the morning

Friendly people this is the second time I have been here. My first time I just showed up didn't like the wait. I made sure I made an appointment this time. I also recommend calling ahead just in case your tires need to be ordered.

I would not recomend discount tire for anything not even for a last resort. I'd go to a junk yard before going to them. After I spent about 2 months waiting to get tires. The first time I went in ordered my wheels and tires they came in a week and they guaranteed they would fit and they didn't. So I said okay and we re-ordered new wheels and tires and was told it would take five days and they will call me to come in and they said they ordered them right then and there. So I waited and 10 days went by and I went in just to be told "oh no one called you? We couldn't order the tires they don't make them in the right size for what you want." So I gave them on more shot and over 2 weeks went by when the tires were supposedly only going to take 3-5 days to come in. And I went in today to get my money. When I did all their manager had to say was I'm sorry about that. Never asked is there anything we can do or why I wanted my money back or anything. I would highly recommend to never go to discount tire. I even found a place to do my wheels and tires which for $1100 cheaper and they are nicer wheels and tires then I was getting from discount tire. I will never be back and either will anyone I know.
