Diner On 50

Best pork souvlaki dinner in town.. tasty salad and includes the garlic bread.. reminds me the way i used to eat Greek food in the 90s. Lol. worth the extra few mins drive.. and only 16.00... and a friendly owner!

Came in to do a takeout order. Have been here before so we thought we’d have a similar good experience. Order took 30 min. I don’t mind waiting for good food… but this was not good. You can tell by the pics 1 Chicken Souvlaki - not sure what kind of Greek potatoes look like that. Also, super stingy on the rice as you can see by how much space is left kn the foil tray. Kind of a sad looking dinner. 2 That’s a large gravy. Didn’t realize when you order a large it’s just the cup that’s large. Laughable. Anyway. Definitely won’t be back. The hunt for Greek food in Vaughan continues. Update - just realized what kind of potatoes these are. They are breakfast potatoes that are probably left over from this morning and re-heated. Update #2 July 22, 2021 - spoke with the owner and like any good restaurant owner they were understanding of the situation and took ownership for the food and the service. I would much rather support an independent restaurant any day and will give Diner on 50 another go when we are in the area. Will have an update as well.

Staff are so friendly and make you feel welcomed. Coffee is hot and tastes great. Milk & cream are kept cold and ready to serve. Food comes out steaming, fresh off the press. Food tastes great. Will definitely come back and tell others about it. Well done Diner on 50

This is an amazing diner. The owners are very nice and welcoming. Now the food........ it's great. The portions are large and you walk out of there feeling great. So far I have had the fish and chips and the eggs breakfast. I will be back for sure.

20 minutes for a chicken souvlaki. I wouldn't be too bad. But the young girl at the front desk was rude, not welcoming and the chicken was burned and dry. I saw the lady in the kitchen using the lettuce directly from the box that means that it wasn't washed and I received a big lettuce stem The coffee is good.

My go-to diner to fuel up enroute and back from Albion Hills Conservation by bicycle. Love the friendly family folks who run the place. Last year I had an omelette but this year decided to try the souvlaki in a pita, the sauce is a family recipe which I appreciated. French fries were crispy I prefer thin and crispy. No frills, just good souvlaki. Thanks for the hospitality!

I have changed my rating based on two subsequent visits since my original 3* review. We love this place. Super friendly staff, great portions and food quality, and excellent value. It has definitely become our go-to restaurant when we feel like diner-type food. Everyone I know who has been here has said the same thing.

Fish and Chips with Greek fries - delicious! Drive too fast and you will miss this little gem including home made meals with great taste. This is not fast food so a little bit of patience will be worth it!
