Literally, THE BEST pizza spot in Toronto! nnNestled halfway between The Beaches and the Distillery District, my friend and I tried a few pies: The “No Name”, the “Truff Guy”, and “Daddy’s Favourite”.nnVerdict: Every pie was outstanding and had something uniquely different to them. It was my first time trying Detroit style pizza and it surpassed all my expectations! The best way I could describe it was this pillowy dough in the center with a crunchy exterior, yet light and airy. My favourite ones were the “No Name” and “Truff Guy” pies. If you’ve never had Detroit style pizza, now’s your chance to bring a friend or two and enjoy a night out!nnTip: I would definitely recommend ordering the smaller-sized pies 4 squares, so you can order a few different ones and happily sample them individually, instead of the larger 8-squared ones. My friend and I did this and it worked out perfectly. I’d also recommend ordering each pie one-by-one because the tables are quite small and won’t fit 3 different pizzas, our plates, and drinks in one go.nnAdditionally, the service was amazing and the staff were so friendly! It felt like a homey, neighbourhood spot with great vibes! Would definitely come back and try a few more different pies!nnThank you so much for the cool experience!
It was my first time trying this style of pizza. As soon as I walked into the store, the smell was amazing and made me even hungrier. The pizza was really delicious, especially the tomatoes — they had such a fresh and rich flavor. I ordered an 8-piece pizza, but I was already completely full after eating just 2 pieces. Considering that, $38 felt very reasonable. I’d definitely like to try other flavors next time.
Great detroit style pizza in the city!! My friends took us out here one night & it’s very much worth the commute to come try it.nWe tried No-Name, Truff-Guy, & Daddy’s favourite.nThe slices are pretty big, so two would fill you up! We were a big group so we were able to share all the pizzas amongst each other with no leftovers. Those three flavours are all solid choices, however the Truff-Guy was my personal fave.nThe place is very small so you may or may not be able to grab a seat. The staff are also friendly & are constantly checking up on everyone.
What more can be said about this place? Top notch detroit style pan pizza is what you're expecting when you walk in and it's exactly what you get. Nice fluffy dough with a crispy crust. Great choice of toppings.nnThe truff guy was particularly amazing. It was an easy pizza to remove ingredients from for our vegetarian friend, while retaining its amazing core flavour.nnBonus points for great music choice here!
Smashing IT! nnI have found the best pizza in the City!nnLocated along Queen Street East in trendy Leslieville you will find the most decadent and delicious pizza you can get your hands on!nnThe crust is thick, chewy and caramelized at the edges. The sauce is sweet and tangy, the cheese is gooey, and the toppings are so creative that it's basically an explosion of flavors in your mouth.nnI ordered The No Name:nnThis pizza had an array of ingredients that blended so well.nnIt had the sweet, the hot, the herbs and the delicious crunch from the way they bake the pizza in the own.nnThe No Name Pizza includes the following:nnGooey delicious cheese, ezzo pepperoni, house made fennel sausage, dollops of ricotta, hot honey, fresh herbs, pecorino Romano, Calabrian chilis.nnIt was absolutely remarkable.nnWords cannot describe how amazing this pizza is.nnSo if you're looking for a different type of pizza that's Detroit style then you definitely have to take a trip down Queen Street East and treat yourself to Descendant Detroit Style Pizza!nnYour taste buds will thank you!nnThe customer service as well is fantastic. An A++++.nnForget turkey dinners for the holidays. Order a couple of Descendant Detroit Style Pizzas instead!
