Dera Biryani and BBQ

I’m not really a fan of biryani from restaurants, but this is pretty good. Loved the spice and masala level, was perfect they also give a good amount of chicken pieces and don’t cheap out, and the portion is great! The interior is also very cute with the wall decor. The staff was lovely, will definitely be coming here again. For those comments complaining that it was too spicy, it’s literally Pakistani biryani… thats like going to Thai and complaining about the spice and going to Italian and complaining about how bland it is.

I pre-ordered a day before both chicken and veal biryani. Moment I entered in to the store, the typical biryani aroma was mind blowing and taste truly justified the hype, must try.Food: 5/5

SPICE OVERLOADED BIRYANI After hearing about dera biryani from several people, we decided to try it yesterday, but it didn't quite meet our expectations at all. It was an OK biryani in my opinion, heavily spiced to the point of being overwhelming. Overall the rice was well cooked, the chicken was tender and juicy, quantity was enough for a person like me who can finish a box in one go or two sometimes. To be honest I did not enjoy the taste of their biryani as much as I thought I would because of its excessive spiciness. To give you an idea of how spicy it was, one of the boxes we received yesterday had 5 green chilies in it. As I dug into the biryani, I started sweating extravagantly because it was overloaded with spice. Not everyone can handle their spice, and lo and behold, there's no "AALU" in their biryani whatsoever, An extra 1 point is deduced because of no aalu in it. All in all, my first experience with dera biryani didn't live up to my expectations.

The customer care is top-notch, with friendly staff who make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is vibrant and cozy, with beautiful decor and lively music. And the food, its simply mouthwatering! The biryani is flavorful and aromatic, packed with tender meat and spices. Every bite is a burst of deliciousness Would 100% recommend this place

I tried this briyani spot for the first time and I don’t think I can ever have briyani from anywhere else after. It was made sooooo well, very flavourful, fresh, and delicious. I also took some time to admire the modern traditional decor which was so beautiful and homey. The service was great and quick and the owners seem so kind. I hope to see this business succeed as it’s clear a lot of love is put into it.

Called to order the chicken biryani approx 3 hours before I wanted to pick up and I was glad to be able to try it. The taste of the biryani was flavourful and really good. The chicken was well cooked. I was surprised as I thought it'd be too spicy for me to handle, but they actually had just the right amount of spice which was bearable. I really enjoyed the meal despite finding it a bit oily and despite not liking that they added achar in the meal itself personally I would prefer if they just gave it on the side. Portion is generous and it was good to share I found it a lot for one person. Got my order pretty quick and it was served hot. Overall, I would recommend this place as I found their chicken biryani to be unlike other Pakistani restaurants I've tried.

One of the best briyanis I've had in the GTA. Customer service was very welcoming, as we were first customers, they gave a free pop. I'd highly reccomend the veal briyani, amazing use of spices and the use if aloos in the briyani. Well done.Food: 5/5

They should keep an option for SPICY BIRYANI for people like me who like it spicy. We tried the veal tray for 4. Good price for the quantity, Biryani is nice and flavourful but no spice no kick .. look forward to them introducing a spicy version. There is another place on Dixie and their spicy veal biryani is on the money!!! Repli to owner: I would have ordered spicy Biryani if there was one on your menu! Otherwise you should put on your menu to ask for spicy if customer want spicy.The veal Biryani is not spicy at all in my opinion. And your response is not good customer service either
