A leisurely brunch perfect for the Sunday get-together or even a little romance. Tailored wait staff, functional workstations discreetly cleared & restocked nice team work between white coats & wait staff & runner's. Not too loud, a setting that evokes conversations. The minus-Interesting drink menu, but dishes not consistently flavorful. Frittata way to covered in chili flakes, overboard on cheese, the eggs were runny and it was a skillet dish. Top-overs dry and tasteless. There's no butter or salt on the table, and service wains making the visit longer than it needs to be by 30-40 minutes. A lot of tables took the desert - the last course home. Would also have been nice to have a knife with most meals instead, of just some. The Plus - beautiful atmosphere, Pancakes and French toast most breakfast dishes, waffles are exceptional in texture and flavor. Generous portions, everything is very clean. All other dishes were prepared well and enjoyable. Some how our waitress loss track of the order her guest's arrived. Overall very good, not exceptional, due to the long wait between courses and items above. Lovely presentation though still enjoyable. Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid-friendly with food options. Parking: There's a lower lie and an upper lot as well as several handicap spots. Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible and accommodating. Plenty of space between tables.
We ate in The Mick bar section. The atmosphere is upscale for a bar, but still relaxed - there was live music and people were singing and dancing a bit. Service was excellent, very attentive and friendly. Food is the same as they serve in the dining room and is excellent as well. The steak I had was tender and cooked as ordered. Great place for a special night out but also the prices are reasonable and it would be good for a burger and beer on a regular occasion.
The Delaney house did not disappoint yet again. Excellent server, polite and attentive. Great food choices. Food came out hot and in a timely manner. The prime rib special was delicious prepared just the way I wanted. The Ahi Tuna was also done med. rare absolutely perfect. Popovers were wondering as well as the garlic rolls. Great evening out at one of our top 5 restaurants!!
Amazing brunch!! We love the D Hotel and Delaney House and have always enjoyed the Sunday brunch. Understandably they had to make changes due to COVID, now they have all table service and it’s wonderful! The brunch is three courses, ample portions for each. We started with bloody Mary’s that were perfectly seasoned, avocado toast, fruit and yogurt parfait, shrimp cocktail, then had crab benedict, frittata and a gigantic omelet. A plate of pancakes, french toast and cinnamon popover tops for the table then dessert......we left completely stuffed and happy!
I am not from this town; I am a visitor who stayed at the D. Hotel next to this restaurant; I was told by the hotel staff that this restaurant is good. So, I went to place an order . When I entered the restaurant, a lady told me right away. Are you from DoowDash. I had many questions. 1 does this restaurant do Doordash? They are open for 3 hrs or so a day for couple days during the week 2 Is this how they normally great guests? So, my first impression was that I am not coming here as it seems not a welcoming place. We decided to order to go. We have tried Burger , crab cake, and stake. The food is very basic and does not align with the same environment that this restaurant is trying to create. I have decided to give it 2 stars because I eat with my eyes and ears first, then I use my mouth to taste the food.
Delaney House was perfect for our Anniversary….Tessa was a really great server and the food was delicious. My husband ordered the Gorgonzola Steak tips and I had the Turkey Dinner….both were awesome. I also had enough left over for lunch today. A few drinks and nice ambiance….we will definitely be back. I have met the owner or one of them? out in my past profession and he is friendly and gracious, only wanting me to support his business and spread the message even more.
Pre COVID this place had a great brunch. Now, not so much. It used to be a buffet and now it's a menu that you pick from. Family style pancakes and French toast was 2 French toast sticks and 3 small child sized pancakes for 2 adults. This hardly a family portion. The starters were odd. Why not have some muffins or danishes as an option? I will say the steak was tasty and cooked nice and tender. Service was subpar. I had to keep asking for coffee and he never brought me the condiments that I asked for.
Usually enjoy ourselves when we have dinner here, however my meal was sub par. Our server was great, can't recall her name. Ordered a cocktail and a glass of red wine. Placed our orders for an app of coconut shrimp, mains were the deconstructed beef Wellington and the coconut crusted haddock with mango and roasted red pepper over risotto. Place was cranking so it took a little extra time to get our meals, not a problem. Well my wife's beef was delicious but my fish was dried out, part of the coconut crust was burnt and the risotto was pasty, should be creamy. Oh, could have used a little more mango was diced very small and roasted red pepper. I was asked by our server and a hostess at different times if everything was OK, and I reluctantly said yes. But as I kept eating my fish and trying to eat the risotto I had to say something. At this point I had my fill, maybe ate half the fish, and asked for the check. This is when I mentioned that my dish wasn't very good. Our server had mentioned that I should have mentioned it sooner and I could have ordered something else, but I was hungry and didn't want to wait for something else. Anyway, long story short it was a good experience, my meal was comped was not my goal to get the meal comped, just wanted to ensure that someone in the kitchen be made aware of the fish being dried out. We will return. We have been here several times and have had very good meals in the past.
The Delaney House is a nice place to eat. Friends took us there on our trip up to Northampton to see a show. They had made reservations so we were seated right away, We did not go in the bar but could see that it was a beautiful place to either grab a beverage or sit down at one of the tables to eat, The waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating and brought a basket full of freshly baked rolls and popovers, enough for 2 for each person at the table. The 2, that I ate roll and popover were tasty. The Savannah Belle salad that my wife had as an entree was a meal in and of itself. After that salad she could only eat about a third of her enormous Chicken Pot Pie, which could easily feed two people. As it was, we took it home and she and I shared it for supper a couple of nights later. My friend and I each ordered the Shepard's Pie, which was very tasty and came in a small fry pan. The only negative was that my friend complained that it was a little dry. The facility was obviously not new, but it was well maintained and had a lot of character. The hallways, waiting area, and bathroom facilities were all bright and clean. Parking was nearby and not an issue. Many of the older patrons were dropped off by the door by their companions.
Wonderful food. If you’re looking for good service, and good food it’s definitely worth the price. The portions were great, the food was cooked exactly how I requested. It was quite busy so I suggest getting reservations, as the wait time was 1+ hour without a reservation on the weekend.Recommended dishesRack of Lamb
