Build your appetite and head over to Days on Front for a meal packed with flavour, quality and aesthetic appeal. The menu has changed recently, and includes a nice variety of starters, mains and desserts, but also a couple of possible combinations of a three course fixed meal. All of the dishes look wonderful in terms of colour, layout and positioning. The experience includes ideal textures, and strong flavour combinations that make for a great meal.nnAs to particular meals - the short ribs are melt-in-your mouth cooked to perfection goodness with a strong wine-based gravy. They are boneless and not fatty - a cut I didn't even know was possible. The leek and potato soup is lovely with a drizzle of chilli oil to add some contrast and a few croutons to vary the texture. The carrot cake desert is rich and sweet with cardamom spice on top of the expected spice array. Bring me more!nnThis was a great visit. My only regrets are overeating... semi-regret and not being able to try more dishes. In time.
What a pleasant surprise - we had booked a table but when we saw the exterior were a littlenConcerned. CouldnNot have been more wrong and definitely don't judge a book by its cover. The food was amazing, the staff friendly knowledgeable and the atmosphere perfect. We had guests in our party with dietary issues and they could not be more accommodating. If you have not been you should try - we are visitors to Kingston and will definitely go when we are next here
Right from the start Katrina made us feel welcome, the marinated duck small plate, Caesar salad, scallops, tenderloin and the mushroom pasta were all excellent. All and all the best meal we have had in a very, very long time. We will be back.
Great place. Always an amazing dining experience. Menu always has a good variety. Specials are enticing. Serving size is always fulfilling. Matt and his staff are hitting home runs here. Our last time there Jessica took great care of us. Spencer is always available to guide us through the wine list. The Barolo he suggested was delicious. I highly recommend.
Our first time dinner at this place on a Valentine day and must say, the food is amazing. But I would prefer to have the service to speed up a bit as food was cool already by time it get to the table... Not sure if it is the style of this place.nnThe scallops - somehow the scallops size is not consistent but, the sweet crispy bacon make the dish memorable, it pair so well with the scallops.nCaesar salad - just like regular other places, nothing much special.nThe ribs - I must say it is chef kiss, the mashed potatoes is so smooth, its like melting in your mouth, the rib is so soft and flavourful.nThe feature steak - just as expected, tender and well seasoned. Except the salad seem not very pair well with it, it like having 2 dishes going on at once.nnThe service, it was kinda weird feeling, Im not sure if it is just my table, but the same server, she was so kind to other table, but not my table. We received complimentary bread as others, but when serving appetizer, she didn't take away the tray, leave to an uncomfortable experience as the table already quite small, I have to remind after we finish course 1.nnAt the end, the overall experiment was okay, beside the service, I will come back here for the food.
