The Maples

No longer a place for me and my family, bone dry club house sandwiches made by a guy with grey facial hair flying around, no thanks. The sandwich was so dry we had to ask for mayonnaise on the side to make it edible. I decided that if I was paying for the sandwich I wasn't making it too so I sent it back. FINISHED!

Have eaten here a few times, never any problems. Now for the reason I had to write this review. The breakfast here is amazing. Best I have ever had. Makes me sad its a 4 hour drive from my house.

Horrible customer service right from the start. Wait staff VERY rude from the moment we walked in (should of been our first clue) and we witnessed it as others were walking in as well. Yes they were likely overwhelmed as it was a long weekend and a rainy day to boot but no need to be so rude telling customers in a very rude tone "I'm not sure what your going to do but as you can see we are busy so your going to have to wait" Once we finally placed our order we witnessed snot dripping from the cooks nose. Yes I said snot. (a window where you can see into the back) My 11yr old and I then witnessed her take a napkin from her pocket and wipe her nose, stuff it back into her pocket and continue serving up dishes WITHOUT WASHING. We were very grossed out and brought this to our waitresses attention and we got "well I'm sorry but I just can not imagine her doing that." At this point we were so upset I asked for the bill for our drinks and said cancel our order. We will never return

Friendly staff, good food, fair prices and a beautiful view of the Sharbot lake beach. 😀

Great restaurant. The best rice pudding on the planet. Terrific food and atmosphere. I even met a local poet there! Thanks very much:)
