The food here is absolutely amazing to start off. Everything felt super authentic, warm, fresh, and like it was made with real care. They have a ton of different flavor profiles on the menu, so even if one thing isn’t your vibe, you can easily find something else you’ll love.nnI got the Darna Sampler and it was so good. The bread came out warm and doughy, which was amazing. While three of the dips were instantly tasty, the Mutabal, which is the one with the pomegranate seeds, had this deeply smoky flavor that was definitely an acquired taste for me!nnThe warak enab was also great, really nice and citrusy and served warm. For the main, the fish was super light but still filling, with a perfectly crispy, salty fried skin. Just watch out for a few bones, but it was delicious.nnOverall, the atmosphere out on the patio was amazing and the servers were incredibly friendly. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you want to try some genuine, homemade Middle Eastern food!
Cozy little place. Food was delicious and very nicely presented. Service was excellent. Great place to sample a few dishes with friends. Green P street parking out front.
Finding food in Canada that matches the quality back home in Jordan is rare, but Darna is truly amazing. The flavors are remarkably authentic and hit all the right notes for a traditional palate.nnThe grilled chicken skewers were perfectly charred and juicy, while the lamb fukhara was rich, soulful, and deeply flavorful. Every dish felt incredibly fresh, and the portions were very generous. If you are looking for a genuine taste of the Levant, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.
What's Not to Like?nnHappened upon this place while in the area. What a pleasant find. Will definitely return.nnFoodnnDarna Samplernn- all dips were deliciousn- I loved the muhammaran- the smoke flavour which I've never tasted in other mutabals I've had was the most pleasant surprise elevating it from good to deliciousn- the bread was served hot and paired nicely with the dipsnnKufta Tahininn- dish was goodn- enjoyed the textural element that the onion broughtn- meat was well seasonedn- as someone who enjoys heat, this dish was very mild but that's just a personal preferencen- overall, the dish was goodn- I'd try something else next timennLayalinann- the texture was the semolina was interesting, tapioca adjacent - in texture, not shape or sizen- the dessert overall was lightn- I'm a sucker for anything that has rose watern- I'd get this againnnServicenn- our waiter was pleasant and confident that we would enjoy our food and returnn- she was right - we did and we willn- I appreciate attentiveness and like it when dishes are removed from my table once I'm finished with themn- this did not happen during our mealn- not a deal-breaker but a preferencen- additionally, both times I wanted a water refill, I had to flag down our server rather than her check-in with us periodically without promptingn- again, not a deal-breaker, just an observationn- I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that she was the only person on the floor managing multiple tablesn- We really appreciated the chef checking in with us to see how we liked the food and also to review the dessert offeringsn- It seemed like he cared that we enjoyed our foodn- We did and we'll returnnnIn summary, what a lovely option on the Bayview / Millwood strip. This was one of the more pleasant dining experiences I've had in awhile. Job well done to all. We will be back. #toronto #supportlocal
Absolutely incredible food, and Nancy was an impeccable server. So kind, knowledgeable! She was serving the entire restaurant and doing bar and not one time did we feel rushed, or like we were waiting on anything.nnHighly recommend.
