I can not say enough great things about this shop! Jake tuned up my bike and put it back together after I flew in from out of town for a charity ride down the coast of Oregon.
After my return Jake gave me his personal number, met me on Sunday night at 9:30 and returned my bike to me on Monday around noon! Both on days off, and both occasions the best service I have ever had at a bike shop in my life!!
Joke and team Cyclery you have earned a customer for life! If you have a option where to go, GO HERE!!!!!!!

I was passing through The Dalles on a cycling trip and my chain broke near this shop thankfully. The guy running the shop immediately took me in and installed my chain and even fixed a derailler alignment issue for a small fee. He set me back on my way in about 20 minutes with a fine tuned drivetrain. He was so helpful that he forgot to charge me while he was helping me out the door with my bike. I paid him of course but you just don't see this level of customer service and care from most bike shop mechanics these days.

Ruined my rear wheel, and charged an outrageous price for the pleasure.

I've been in to the store a few times, usually with a question or some small repair (which Jake did well - like a brake adjustment, which other mechanics have nose-dived on). The owner, Jake, is always friendly, while being comfortably laid-back. In talking with him you can tell he really cares for the community and wants to see cycling spread to people who are new to it. He understands that not everyone can afford an expensive bike. I think The Dalles is lucky to have his bike shop here.

He was really kind and helpful, found some hardware we needed (did not want money for it) generally a personable man (unlike the mean guy up he road)
