I didn't have an appointment but my number was called within 10 minutes. They are well staffed, answer the phone they even called me back same day one time when I left a message in the morning! Had to transfer three cars using temp/duplicate titles for an estate and there was a lot to do but they handled it very efficiently. Go early. I went around 10:30 and by the time I was done the line was 10x longer. Props to the supervisor; she helped with some of the trickier parts.

Hands down the friendliest DMV staff I've ever worked with. I made my apartment, and did the application in advance...highly recommend doing this. Appointment was for 11:00am, checked in 10 min prior to the appointment... I was done, and back in my car before 11:00am. Thanks!

I renewed my license plate tabs online on September 29th and asked that they be mailed to my new address. I have always renewed my license plate tabs online and have never had a problem before. After 2 months of waiting, I finally went to the Burnsville location this evening after work. I was told that I should have come in sooner, so they charged me $12.50 for "replacement tabs." Huh? I ordered my tabs online and you never sent them, so now I have to pay an additional fee to receive what I've already paid for? Nice scam you've got going on there.

Took 4 tries, but this time I did not get that jerk guy and got a woman who was so nice and pleasant that it was a breeze. I brought the exact same things that I brought previously...hmmm. I think that guy needs to watch the very professional ladies he works with.

Most of the people who work here are very nice, despite the typical misconception of DMV employees. Also, if you make an appointment online, most processing goes very quick here.

I’ve been to the Burnsville DMV twice already renew my license, both times I was assured I had submitted all the necessary documents needed to receive my renewed license. Twice I received letters in the mail saying more documentation was needed/ and or documentation was missing. This entire experience has been a complete disaster, and to be honest I wouldn’t have expected it to go any other way. There’s a reason DMVs around the nation have a bad reputation. I have a severely sprained knee and I cannot afford to go back and forth, back and forth multiple times to be told the same thing, with the same unproductive result.

Amazing friendly staff, so great. Helped me out finding a location to take a driver's test, as well as renewing my tabs quickly and cheerfully. Easily best DMV experience I've had.

Fast friendly service. Not sure of the gals name that helped me but she worked on desk #1 on 7-15-22. She was so sweet and helpful. Made my experience fun! I had the feeling everyone that worked there enjoys their job.

Tbh, I could tell the employees were tired when they opened the doors at 8am. I get that... But everyone was super friendly and organized inside which I appreciated so much! And they were extremely helpful. I recommend either making an appointment online or showing up 20 minutes before they open at leastif you don't want to wait for hours...

I have visited twice in 5 months and have had awesome experiences both times. Everyone was so nice and helpful from the person who greeted me and got me to where I needed to be to the person Katrina who took care of my needs.
