If you’re in Nelson and you like DQ ice cream you have to stop here it’s only open in the armed months! It’s vintage, walk-up only and sells only ice cream. No burgers or fries, etc. my husband remembers going here as a kid growing up in Nelson.

Uzually there's quite a line-up but not today. There was only 2 people in front of me. I got my banana split exactly the way I like it pretty quickly. It was awesome as usual! Quick update... I was there again recently & they have an Apple Pie Blizzard that is so very delicious, I am definitely going again asap & as many more times as I can before they shut down for winter!

The most unique DQ you will find. One of the last original outlets. Kind of a time capsule

I don't usually have a bad experience. I am sure they will still receive a lot of business but they have lost mine. I don't usually deviate and asked if I could add a topping. Apparently Dairy Queen has been questioning them for mixing up flavours. Then proceeded to let me know it will be a $1 but then advised "don't ask the girls every time you come here" Well I won't be coming back. A simple answer would have been no sorry. This was the owner who said this. She needs a little cleaning up of her customer service skills.

This place is AWESOME! By far coolest thing I have seen in the province and truly one of a kind, visited Nelson this summer and stopping in at this vintage style Dairy Queen made our vista worth while! I strongly suggest people to check this out when travelling in the kootenays in the summer!!!

Old historic DQ in the most beautiful town Nelson BC. Walk ups only, parking lot adjacent. Eat on the grass. Misters at the ordering/pickup windows make the wait cool on hot days.

A seasonal only ice cream spot - it is a franchise but this location focuses on what Dairy Queen is known for: Ice Cream. Finish your day on the lake with a stop at this local spot or just enjoy a sweet, frozen treat whenever.

Friendly service. There can be long lines but it's the only DQ with in 40 km of Nelson so one might expect that. This location ice cream and other cold treats. No burgers, fries and such.
