Cupcakes on Broadway

I've been to this location a few times (within almost 7 years). I have yet to be wowed. The first time my cupcake was crazy dry and crumbly. I mentioned it to a staffer who just snapped that they're fresh! The second time I went in to place a special order for a birthday. I was put on pause for in store customers. When we returned for our order we were almost sent away because they couldn't find it!? Turns out our name was misspelled. No apologies. Still thought they seemed dry.

Tasty ice creams; not too sweet, lots of flavor. Salted caramel is delicious. Two generous scoops for 4.50, great value!

We ordered a red velvet cake for our boss for his birthday. The giant cupcake what beautifully designed and looked so pretty. The actual cake itself was a bit dry though and the icing was just a bit too sweet for me.

Terrible curt service, barely listened to what I said, didn't ask questions or suggest anything, and the decor is stark and cold like a laboratory. Would not recommend.

Don't bother ordering online. I placed an order online for 6 cupcakes and 1 "Big One" for my brother's birthday because he asked for cupcakes. Their online order platform does not take payment or credit card information, so it's basically useless and I wasted time following the prompts and filling out the fields, because when I completed what I thought was placing my order, the website told me to call the shop to confirm my order and provide my credit card information. Why didn't I just call the shop in the first place and bypass the website? Fine... So I call the shop the next day to confirm the order. No answer. I double checked that I was calling within business hours. Called a second time. No answer, so I sent an e-mail. I'm starting to worry that they won't be able to fill my order when somebody finally calls me back and proceeds to tell me that they don't make some of the flavours I chose, namely the Blue Hawaii. I had made my selections from the menu on the Cupcakes website, where there were no notes about any flavours being seasonal or being removed from the menu. I cancelled the order when she told me that. It was a frustrating experience for me as a customer. This location can clearly afford to lose my business since they don't try to make ordering easy for customers. They will deal with me and my measly little order at their convenience, and that's not okay with me. There are a variety of other FABULOUS cupcakeries in the area. I got some beautiful cupcakes from Butter Baked Goods on 33rd/Mackenzie instead.
