If I could give this review 0 stars, I would. To start with, receptionists are rude and won't even acknowledge you, and they won't wear their masks properly, showing they don't really care about protecting their patients. They got several of my information wrong and did not bother to check in with me as they were supposed to. The nurse we saw was incompetent. I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt after she messed up a simple pelvic exam for a pap test and made me bleed for weeks, but when I had to go back to see a doctor to do a second pap test and thought this would get resolved, she was there yet again and her incompetence ruined my experience. As it turns out, she put the wrong label on my pap test, and I got a call a few days later that my pap test was destroyed because of her mistake and I would have to come in again. To make me feel better, they told me that this had happened to a lot of other women. It did not make me feel better. Pap tests are traumatic and extremely painful for me I have two diagnosed physical conditions causing severe pain with penetration of any kind and upon explaining the situation and requesting sedation, analgesics or medication for the third time doing this horrible, painful procedure because of their mistake!, I was told I would be called back by the nurse. Instead, management calls me to reimburse me out of the blue. I had a terrible call with Genevieve, the director of the establishment. She is, by far, the worse one in this clinic. She showed zero empathy for my situation, did not even apologize once for their mistakes, took zero accountability and when I asked how I could trust that they wouldn't make this mistake again with the label, she offered zero assurances that they would make sure the right label was on for the next time. This is the kind of person who runs this clinic - a person who listens to another woman telling her that pelvic exams are absolute torture and that it is inhumane to subject myself and other women to several painful procedures without sedation, analgesics or medication, and yet doesn't care in the slightest. Why am I able to receive sedation for virtually any painful other tests I've done, yet not for this? And when sharing my pain, sharing how torturous it is for me, all she did was invalidate my experience, my pain, and my trauma. I explain to her that for me this is torture it really is; more painful than recovery from dental surgery for two abcess, more painful than appendictis, and I could go on, and all she had to respond with was "it's not torture." Who is she to know what my pain is and isn’t? I was reimbursed for all the costs at the very least, perhaps the 1 star can account for that. But even with my money back, I have lost weeks, have been tortured on their table twice, and now have to do a third pap test anyway. Oh, another thing: the receptionists ignored us for 10 minutes and so we arrived 5 minutes late to one of our appointments and we got charged for that time. The doctor rushed us out when our minutes were up, even though we were not finished and I had other concerns. All they care about is money. Give it to another clinic that actually will care about you.
First visit today - quality service, clean place , appointment times are respected no long waits, yay! The staff was wonderful - the nurse Renee was very kind and I felt comfortable being at this clinic right away. I had an appointment with Dr Rousseau. He answered all my questions and explained in steps how the appointment will work. Didnt feel judged or rushed as a patient. Thanks again!
I saw that quite a few people described difficult experiences on here, and I have to say that mine was totally different. Respect from all staff, a caring nature from the person taking my phone rendez-vous when I was in a state of worry. A prompt, easy appointment was set. The nurse who did a pre-interview helped to put me at ease with patience and good-natured humor. Dr. Awad really addressed my specific somewhat urgent concerns with expertise, certainty and demystified other aspects of the domain of inquiry. I truly will consider going back to him and this clinic in the event I want a higher level of care. The public system has left me disappointed for specific needs, but I will still use it for more routine aspects of health. All is well with me and my sudden health concern, and I know this with certainty after my time with Dr. Awad. He then asked me before I left “Do you feel relieved?” This question addressing the emotional nature of health is such an important factor. Genuine empathy. It makes all the difference. I’m left confused by negative reviews on here, and highly recommend Dr. Awad. Thank you!!
Dr Awad was a real gem. He listened attentively and was empathetic. The nurse was great as well.
There are multiple doctors here so the level of service that you received can vary. I was there with my wife seeing two different doctors. I saw Dr Awad. It was great. I felt respected and Dr. Awad was asking questions and listening very carefully the whole time. It was mentioned by a lot of the others too and most of the reviews that I saw spoke well of him. My wife saw a different doctor and it was a very different experience. My wife didn't feel respected and she said she would never go back there again after the initial visit. A week later, both of our test results came back. I was told that I was low on Vitamin D and I was prescribed some Vitamin D pills. My wife was told that there is an issue, and her doctor requested to see her again. She asked for the test report by email first, but the nurse refused until she visited her doctor. So she booked an appointment and worried. She went. Her doctor said, "Oh, I should have just called you. There is nothing other than that your Vitamin D is a bit low." So basically, my wife had to wait for a few weeks, traveled back to the clinic, just to be told that her test result is essentially the same as mine, and was charged 70$ for another consultation. And on top of that, she was not even prescribed any pills. Cred-med is a private clinic so the service is a bit expensive. But the benefit is that it is faster than the public system. If you decide to go there, I would recommend doing some research and choosing your doctor. Hope this helps!
I was charged $110 for a 3 minute phone consultation. It was not explained to me that there is a flat fee for phone consultations. However, they agreed to fully reimburse me this time. They explained that it is cheaper to go in person as you will only be charged for the time with the doctor ~ $7/minute. It's important to enquire about ALL fees before becoming a patient.
Update: 2020/11/03 I come here for annual check up every year since this comment, and this year Dr. Robin is leaving the clinic so I switched to Dr. Rousseau. Dr. Rousseau is also very professional and informative with patience. He listened to me very carefully and I felt respected during the check-up. Again would recommend to everyone who needs to see doctor don't mind to pay for the services. — Nice and speedy private clinic. As other comments said, I do think this clinic is a little pricey than another one I went in north of the island, but this is closer to where I live. I called on Monday for an appointment and got to meet with Dr. Robin on Thursday morning, probably could be even faster? Staffs and nurse I met with all speak English and friendly, Dr. Robin is professional and answered everything I asked. I recommend to people who need to see doctors but don't want to wait for hours in public. and don't mind to pay for the services.
Genecologist is not recommended. No special genecology exam chair. No plenty space in front of exam chair how it should be for correct exam. Doctor is too young and not experienced. She doesn’t know suggest correct patient location for accurate exam, doesn’t know which tool to choose.. In my case tool was changed 3 times till right tool found. As you know it is the problem to find genecologist in Montreal. Otherwise I would go to another doctor.
My wife and I have been going there for years. We both saw Dr. Robin before he took leave to work mostly elsewhere which then to get an appointment with him, you'd be on a waiting list. Was not happy about that. We then both got new doctors that recently were hired there. I had Dr. Awad and found him to be sympathetic and no complaints about him but the overall experience and administration of this place has gone way down in the last few years. We had to fill out paperwork on 3 occasions so that my wife and I could have access to each other's files/make appointments etc and each time they lost the paperwork and had to file it again. Finally after they saw we were upset having to do this AGAIN, they put the note in "verbally" in our files. Today was the last straw as I had an appointment, which I was 10 mins late as there were a TON of unexpected road closures more so than normal downtown woes... I still waited 15 mins which I don't mind at all, I've never waited more than 60 mins to see the doctor and for that, I find good but when my wide called to say she would be 10 mins, they refused to see her and would be charging a cancellation fee! I could not believe this as we've been going there for many years and when I called to see what was going on they said it was a 20 min appointment and 10 mins late is too much and that my wife had a history of being late/cancelling which is 100% false. The amount of times we've waited for them, even though it is not a long wait, the fact that my wife suffers from anxiety disorder and she called me with a panic attack as they refused to see her, shows me they have no intentions to keep existing clients nor do the administration value medical care. She would have gladly waited to fit in-between appointments if they passed someone quicker etc but I saw 3 people come in TODAY who actually said "sorry for being late" OR mentioned their appointment time to the receptionist of which they were late and no issue.. if my wife lacked the courtesy to call and advise her 10 minute lateness MAYBE they would have seen her but they didn't, and for this, absolutely unforgivable. I mentioned today they'd be losing two long time clients and they couldn't care less. Very poor administration, I would look for a place that truly cares for your health.
Had a great experience at Crea-meD! The doctor really took the time to explain and help me understand the steps he was taking and was also very friendly! I would absolutely recommend booking an appointment here.
