Best sandwich I ever had. Brie cheese, pear, caramelized pecan, maple syrup and balsamic reduction on homemade blueberry and walnut bread. SO GOOD!!! My husband's burger was VERY tasty too
I labored over a review with negatives and positives, but it appears to be lost. They were short of staff, the fries were frozen and not fresh, they use Quick chocolate syrup for the mochas, there is only one toilet for a place that, including the patio, seats 65, we waited 5 to 10 minutes just to pay, there were a number of items on chalk board menus, but it seemed all they were serving that day was fish and chips and smoked salmon salad. However, they pour wine with a heavy hand - right to the rim.
It’s our first time here, and the small bowl of cafe au lait was really good and hot! The owner was friendly and the desserts and sandwiches all looked fresh. We also ordered cannoli and a sweet chiffon cake with lemon whipped cream filling, everything was fresh and tasty! The deco of the cafe wasn’t the fanciest, but it has its own local charm. Would definitely come back to try other stuff!
Awesome experience! Delicious desserts and I love the vibe and style of the restaurant interior.
Fantastic food. Great cuppachino.
Was initially delighted to discover Crème Brûlée. I entered expecting devotion to Old World techniques but left almost immediately. No amount of nostalgia could induce me to purchase a pastry following the icy reply I received upon making a simple inquiry ... apparently the artist in residence believes cake cannot be served without condescension.
Lol is the owner serious with these comments?? I was looking for a place to go for brunch on Saturday and It’s not the reviews that have turned me off trying the place, it’s this rude, immature, asshole’s responses! Wow are you intentionally trying to lose customers?? Sorry just have to laugh. What a joke.
Terrible and rude owner. Could be a lovely place but we were an apparent inconvenience to the owner. Asked for water and got none waited and waited to pay. One toilet with overflowing garbage. Take advantage of the other many places in Hudson and not this.
Horrible horrible and even more horrible. Went with my daughter for lunch today and let me tell you, don't waste your money on this place. Showed up at 12:30pm and we went inside to find out if we can just sit outside being a nice sunny day. Yup, go and the lady will come and see you. First thing.. dirty inside with food left over on the front table with utensils and dishes all over the place. Ok they have been busy and didn't have time to bring these dirty dishes and discarded food away. So now, we order. An western omelet for my daughter, which comes with salad and fries and I order a grilled veggie and goat cheese salad with mimosas. A couple of guys show up 10 minutes after us and were seated a few tables away. Well they order and all should be good right... well, they brought our plates to the 2 fellows, which one of them starts picking at the fries and calls the waitress back to tell her he didn't order that kind of omelet. She takes both plates and goes inside to only then turn around and bring us those plates and says "Enjoy". Really !!!! My daughter went back inside and told the lady that this plate had already been picked in by another client. She shrugged and said, "will get you new fries" yayy both her and I kinda ate a bit and when we came the end of our meal time, I went in to tell them to forget about the fries since we had finished abruptly our meal. She had the fries in her hands and just put them with the other discarded food, on the front table that had been there 1 hour before. Bottom line, no excuses for this action and yes, I pay my entire bill without any compensation whatsoever. Hey, a free coffee would of been a nice things but hey, that is only me thinking of customer service.
Seems like a nice place. Went later in the day so almost everything was gone. Will be back early in the day to try to get some delicious dessert!
