Been wanting to try their pastry especially the donuts for so long! I wasn’t disappointed at all. The service was so amazing & friendly. The server answered all of our questions patiently and had some lovely recommendations. We tried all the donut flavours available that day & we got ourselves other pastry/sourdough. I am obsessed with the pecan brioche & the cinnamon sugar donut. Their donuts are light & airy and are not overly sweet. I highly recommend their classic sourdough and cheese & garlic sourdough. I’ll definitely be back to shop in the meat section next time. Thanks, Furley!
A bakery and butchery rather than a restaurant. They have nice tables outside epic for a sunset drink with something on the menu to share. Don’t go there if you want to have lunch, the menu is kinda small not much options only some sandwiches and appetizers. Burrata was only ok, sandwiches just normal, but the tacos were good, just order an extra dip because they are missing. Also a decent selection of wine. Nice decor inside looks like a coffee shop. So the first part is the butchery and bakery, then you walk around the building to get to the restaurant and patio. Good place for the area in Hudson.
The donuts are absolutely mouthwatering and they don't disappoint once you take your first bite. I always cross my fingers when I come, their donuts run out fast so I was beyond excited to find a new batch just ready for the taking! My favorite is the cinnamon, not too sweet but just enough to have another bite until it's all gone.
The Oreo donut was so awesome! My husband loved their sourdough bread as well. The steaks and duck confit looked so fresh and amazing! We were there on Hudson day, it’s nice to see the store/restaurant being busy! Friendly and helpful staffs and service!
Nice and spacious store with plenty of options frozen food, boulangerie, pastries, charcuterie, etc. We arrived almost at noon so they had sold out a few items, the staff is friendly, just be patient as the service is a bit slow, not sure if adding more staff would help. Pastries were OK but there are so many better options in Montreal, we tried a scone and a chocolatine, we wouldn’t order them again. Some products are quite pricey, a grilled cheese sandwich goes for about $15.
Nice place to have lunch, but dinner is their specialty, lunch is light, good sandwiches, the roast beef was super good, their wine too, super relaxed environment and friendly staff. Also they sell meat, fresh. Recommended spot.
The trouble with this place is that, in terms of product availability, it is unreliable. If I want to make a charcuterie board on a weekday or get toppings for a pizza, I can't rely on this place for my ingredients. Although the premises have doubled or tripled in size vs. before the renovations, the fridges seem empty. One time we came by at 4:30pm on a Saturday after the renos, and there was no bread and almost nothing available to buy fresh. Another time for lunch on a weekday you could only choose between 3 types of sandwiches and pre-packaged meh-looking salads. I can't imagine it's that hard to keep more cold cuts on hand they can be made/packaged in advance or bake a few more loaves. Call me critical but I expect a lot more from a place like this, I WANT to come more often for lunch in the week and I see an enormous potential, just keep getting disappointed. On a positive note, the sourdough and oat loaves, when available, are amazing.
I really wanted to like this place, I am not from the area but I’ve made a point to visit it twice, once during a weekend and once during a winter weekday late morning…. The store is nice, their bread is pretty good but the service or lack of… oh my… lower your expectations! And go lower! Last time I went there, there were 3 people behind the boulangerie counter and only one client before me, who had already paid but was still having a conversation with one of the 3 employees… that wouldn’t be a problem if the other 2 people would be willing to take my order. I stood there for a while before I had to ask if someone could help. The one talking with the client, told the client not to worry about it and kept going. At that point, one of the other employees, who was avoiding at all cost to make eye contact with me said “sure”. I already made a note so next time I pass by Hudson, I skip this place
I recieved a Furley gift certificate with a note that "you will love their steaks, it's worth the drive to Hudson!" So Saturday afternoon we went. I picked a strip loin to grill and there were plenty of beautifully marbled and thick cut on purchase, tender and flavorful once grilled. Also bought sourdough bread and a cinnamon bun. All were delicious. Highly recommended!
Bought 2 of their best selling sausages and they were well worth the money. Lean and corse ground meat with very little shrinkage. Seasoning was perfect too.
