I first visited this store in Feb '12. I had a horrible nightmare with a dress that I had purchased online. It didn't come in remotely the color I wanted or even close to the correct size. I can't remember how, but I was told to visit Country Brides and City Ladies as she was the only local dress lady in the town and she could help me. When I went to visit the store, I met the owner, and she was very nice, extremely helpful, and polite. She even took that disaster of a dress from online and gave me in store credit for it. That's as far as this review will go with her being of any more use to me. I paid her in cash and upfront for 2 maids of honor dresses in brown, 3 in tangerine, one flower girl dress, one ring bearer tux, One wedding dress. This was the very first week of March. I was quoted 4-6 weeks for the brown dresses, 8-10 weeks for the tangerine dresses, and 12-14 weeks for the wedding dress. The flower girl dress and ring bearer's tux came within the week I ordered it. My wedding is in Nov of '12 and I just wanted the piece of mind of having everything way in advance of the big day. After 6 weeks the brown dresses came in and they didn't fit either one of my girls. I actually ended up taking the dresses back twice before I found out it was a lost cause. The tangerine dresses NEVER came in. I was calling to the point of harassment and they still didn't come in and she had no time frame or no estimate as to when they would. Finally in Mid-August, she told me that she could get the other girls dresses in if I changed the color to brown. I didn't want the damn dresses in brown, but I was too worried they wouldn't come in time for the wedding so I changed the color. They came in within a couple of weeks. But that was only after I called again to the point of harassment. When they dresses arrived, they didn't FIT any of the girls. All of them were extremely too tight. Rather than deal with sending them back, I decided to keep them and we are in the process of having a seamstress turn them into corset backs with a privacy flap. Now I'm waiting upon my dress. She kept giving me time frame after time frame. I was becoming (a well deserved) basket case because the wedding day just kept getting closer and closer and I have no accessories let alone a dress for the wedding. I was calling at least one a day trying to get a tracking number or something to substantiate that my dress was even coming. She would basically ignore my phone call and have me leave a message and then NOT get back to me, or she would make some lame excuse as to why the dress hadn't arrived. ENTER SEPTEMBERSince she was no longer answering my phone callls, I went into the store directly to ask if my dress had arrived. Upon arriving there, the first thing I saw was her sitting at the desk in front of her computer and also directly in front of the PHONE that she had been ignoring all afternoon. She also had her helper/partner there with her and another person that frequently helps. And none of them could answer the dang phone?!?! Anyway, I calmly asked her if my dress arrived. She told me no and made excuses blah blah blah, and so then I NICECLY asked her if I could get my money back. I didn't get the whole amount because of the trade in value and her making me take the dress back, whatever. But the point is, I will never have to call her store again and secondly, I will never recommend her business to anybody! Not even if you were going to buy the dress off of the rack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With 46 days until the big dayl, I have NO wedding dress and a small portion of what I paid for it. But now I have a trip to EUG to get excited about :)

My soon to be sister-in-law has been dealing with this business for her bridal gowns since February. Long story short- she's been screwed out of time, a lot of money, and a sense of security that one should have while putting together their wedding. If you don't want to be scammed, and reduce the amount of headaches you'll have while planning your wedding or other event, avoid this business at all costs. That's unless, of course, you are a millionaire and money and time are of no issue. The other comments should alone suffice in preventing you from trusting this business.

I had the most horrible experience here. ordered a dress and the wrong size was ordered. I was lucky I could let out it enough. Also, had issues with bridesmaid dresses. The only reason this person stays in business I'm sure is because its the only thing around here.

Worse than horrible. This woman needs to learn how to run a dress shop, especially one that is very important to others...special days are to be treasured, not screwed up by some 'dress shop owner' that can't get things correct. We had horrible service for prom. Three prom goers were excited to order dresses, excited about the big day, after several and many calls, we had to drive 30 miles to actually see how the progress was going. To make a long story short...we had to stress until the last minute, literally...she drove two of the dresses to the school on prom day and didn't have the third girls dress. It didn't come in! How horrible can that be for a teenager that is princess and needs a spectacular dress. It took forever to get the money back also. I am getting married, I have to travel far and wide in search for a dress becausse our local retailer can't perform the way she is suppose to. This isn't the first time this has happened obviously...I wonder how she stays in business!!!

We were quoted 10 weeks for 3 bridesmaids dresses, 1 bridal gown, and 2 flower girl dresses. There was no contact for several days and when we finally got ahold of her she informed us she got rid of the gowns because she hadn't been able to get ahold of us, even though we paid upfront for all the dresses. AFTER driving to her store she found she had mistaken our order for an unpaid prom order. Then the flower girl dresses came in, IN THE WRONG COLOR. She re-ordered the flower girl dresses and 2 weeks later, they came in IN THE WRONG COLOR AGAIN. She then told the bride that she hadn't ordered the dress on our receipt because she knew the bride had actually wanted this other dress. Which was true, the bride had picked one dress at the shop thinking it was a different dress. However the lady at the shop canceled the original order and ordered this other dress for the bride that was really the correct one, but without confirmation with the bride that she hadn't changed her mind. We were suppose to get the bridal gown Monday, no call. Suppose to get the bridesmaids gowns today. We were told yesterday that they had come in she just needed to pick them up, to come in today and she'd have them pressed and the seamstress there. She called the bride this morning to give her the money back because when she changed the brides gown to a different one, again without having talked to the bride, she CANCELED THE ENTIRE PREVIOUS ORDER. The only dress that came in was the bride's AND IN THE WRONG COLOR. This woman has been extremely difficult to communicate with the entire time. Has told us she would call us back but wouldn't until we called her several times or physically showed up at her shop. She changed the order without confirming with the bride, and 5 weeks before the wedding informed us that the entire order had been canceled so we have no dresses. Absolutely horrible. When the maid of honor spoke over the phone with her trying to get information regarding this because the bride was too upset to speak the woman refuse to talk to her because she wasn't the one who paid. However the maid of honor DID pay for her own dress, so when this was pointed out the woman got huffy and made comments about how if she was unsatisfied she could come get her money back. I don't know how this woman has remained in business this long other than the fact that we don't have any other options. You'd have better luck driving out of town and paying for a hotel elsewhere than to deal with this woman. Don't depend on her for making your special day very special. EDIT: After contacting the warehouse we were informed this woman hasn't even put an order in with them since '09, our dresses were "ordered" February '10. If you've recently ordered from this woman and haven't yet received your dresses you may want to look into it!
