Country Boy Family Restaurant

Good local greasy spoon best for breakfast. The food comes fast and many choices. The coffee is very basic and leaves much to be desired. The mugs are an odd size too, almost coffee shots. They never seem to serve milk with the coffee just cream. The service is usually busy so don't expect anything special. Lunch and dinner options are basic cuisine. Portions are always large so you do get value for your dollar.

I don't think I've ever gone and been disappointed with the quality of food you get for the price you pay. I've been to several breakfast spots and thus is definitely one of my favourites. The portions and hot chocolate are really my favourite things about this restaurant! You get the regular breakfast foods and without fail they end up tasting the same across ass breakfast places. At country boy, their whole menu doesn't taste like other breakfast places! The only thing I wish they had was a parfait and smoothies!

Returned here many years after my last trip. Renovations are very nice. Staff was efficient and friendly and food was above average for an all day breakfast place with large portions and reasonable price. Great place for breakfast anytime.

Came here because I heard good things. I ordered a medium-rare steak which came out medium-well, it was about 90%cooked with few patches of pink. I asked them to replace it and five minutes later it came out well done, even more cooked. I guess they didn't understand me, so I went to the counter and tried to explain the situation. My server then claims that it was medium-rare the first time it came out, which it wasn't. They reluctantly remade my steak after giving me attitude, those nasty facial expressions from my server and the greeter still anger me when I think about the experience. A new server brought out my food, but by this point my appetite was gone. I had to wave someone else down for the bill, which took way too long, and made my way out of there. Being a server myself, I am extremely disappointed from my visit. Having people in the service industry undermining you and giving attitude when the situation could have easily been solved without all the negativity... ruins your day. No one should leave feeling like this from a restaurant.

Where do I start. When someone asks where is a good place for breakfast, the answers going to be Country Boy. Seems like every year they win the "best breakfast" category. Sundays has lineups but it moves fast. Lunch and suppers not bad and no matter when you go you have fair portions. Read a sign that said over 10 million breakfasts served. YES you ready that right. Like any place you can have a bad meal or experience, but in my 20 years going I have had good luck. If only my lottery tickets were that good. One warning, hours changed Monday to Thursday. They now close at 3 P.M.
