Cottonwood Mall

Story

Constructed in 1974, the mall was the city’s first regional shopping centre. Originally anchored by Super Value, McLeods, Sears and Zellers, it was home to 62 stores and gave area residents the opportunity for one stop shopping. Since then there has been several renovations and expansions and the mall has grown to over 75 stores with London Drugs, Dollarama and Sears anchoring the centre.

London drugs has great sales aswell as wonderful honest people working as security I dropped some money the young lady helped me look all over the parking lot was very impressed. Don't see that everyday !!
We bought our engagement rings at a ring store in here. Very clean place and it's fun to visit, but they have terrible seating arrangements with giant pots right as you enter. My father-in-law fell walking into them and would have had bad injuries, luckily it was just a scratch on both legs and palm. I think the seating arrangements could be organized in a manner it doesnt be in the way of people. As I noticed many older community walks in here too. Please take care of your visitors!nI love going here on the otherhand, the food court was wonderful, but my favorite Chinese place they closed down, so I no longer visit this centre as it really put a dump in my fun. Yet I'd visit when I need something I'd can't find anywhere else ‍
Not the best mall but I have definitly been to worse. If you are not from the area i would suggest you plan a day trip to Vancouver if you plan on doing any actual shopping.
Not bad for a shopping center. There's more parking in back. Good selection of shops and near major highways.
The friendly staff present at each vendor within the mall provided not only fun, light-hearted service during a stressful holiday season, yet there were many kind smiles to share as well in the mall!nnMade a difference in the atmosphere and almost makes you want to go storefront window shopping.
