We really enjoyed our dinner at Cotto A Legna. We dined in and were seated right away on a Saturday night despite arriving early for our reservation. I had the Lobster Roll with a side salad, and while it is certainly not a traditional East Coast sandwich, it was certainly a delicious rendition. My husband had the Mortadella Pizza, and he liked it very much, but thought the ball-of-mozzarella on top was a little too strange. I had a couple of leftover slices for lunch the next day, and it tasted far better than I thought it looked. My sister had the Chicken Marsala, and enjoyed it very much. it was her second time in two visits to this restaurant that she ordered it. I wish I had tried it because it looked very good. I also had a couple of pomegranate martinis, which were delish!
I’m extremely disappointed. I have eaten there in person and the service is sloth like. The past 2 times I have ordered for delivery they messed it up. The first time I ordered a gluten free pizza and when I got it, it wasn’t gluten free. If I did not notice this it could have been very dangerous for my health or any person with a gluten allergy. We called them and they made us a new pizza which they had us pick up and it took over an hour for it to be done. Like I said, sloth like. This time I ordered for delivery I order the same gluten free pizza. The person delivered it and left it at our door step with out even letting us know the food was here… it’s winter. As soon as we grabbed the food we noticed a pizza was missing, this could have been simply resolved if the person simply rang the door bell and handed us our food. We called the restaurant and they said they were out of gluten free pizza. It would have been nice to know that when I literally ordered the gluten free pizza and paid for it. Anyways, here is a picture of my non existent pizza. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
We me + 2 visited this place on a Wednesday evening in January 2023.  There were no tables available, so we ordered a few beers on tap and waited at the bar area.  I like the selection of beers they had on draft since there were a few local/craft beer options I had never tried before.  We were seated at a table within 15 minutes and we received very courteous and friendly service.  For food, we ordered the White Margherita and Mortadella see pictures attached to this review.  While there are many pizza options on the menu, we tried the above two.  The bread on these pizzas was really good and unique.  I didn’t like the Mortadella pizza all that much but the White Margherita was very good. For starters, we ordered the Mushroom Bruschetta which was the best item of everything we ordered.  The bread had the right amount of butter and evoo on it.  I would order this Starter again when I visit here next time.  We also ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana from the Starters menu as well which was well worth it. There are so many items on the menu and while I wanted to try a whole lot of them, however, The atmosphere, lighting, service, cleanliness of the restaurant, bar area, etc. made this restaurant a really good dining experience overall.  I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good pizza/Italian dishes. Vegetarian options: Very good veggie options. Highly recommended for vegetarians or pescatarians.
A great place for Italian food and pizza. A break from the large chain restaurants. The service can use improvement, but good food and great location.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
One word. AMAZING. This place blew me away. Everything was so fresh and the flavors were so good. You need to get the prosciutto and fig bruschetta, baked clams, and the truffle pasta. So good. I can’t wait to come back because I want to try everything on this menu.
Unfortunately the service here is still the same, lack of service! The server was very short when I asked about a bread option, or a sauce. Her response was that's what comes with it! We don't have a different bread, when clearly the other sandwich had a different option for bread. Same goes with the sauce, I asked for vodka sauce instead if red NO was the answer it only goes with a certain dish. Umm ok?? We were ready to get up and go elsewhere, we ordered, never saw our server till the food came, she never brought our drinks, food came she dropped it and we had to flag down another staff member to get us our check and another 20 min before she came to check us out. Absolutely unacceptable! We are done going here. The service sucks and the food definitely wasn't worth what they charged us. That's too bad cause we live in the bldg. Oh by the way; there were 3 tables with people outside so it's not like it was crowded! Do better Cotto!
My mom and I stopped by on a whim today for a drink and appetizer. Sat outside. Service was fantastic. Salmon bruschetta was so good. Four pieces was plenty for 2 people. We wanted one more appetizer but could not choose. We asked our server and he made some great suggestions. Ended up with bacon shrimp and they also were fantastic. Great service. Thank you.
First off, I want to say the service was terrible. It was super slow and had no one ever seem to pay attention. We had our kid with us and we ordered milk for with his dinner and we had to flag someone down, just to get it after 15 minutes of waiting for it. They claim to have Italian style pizza and it is anything, but as it's more coal fired due to the thicker crust. I had a gluten free pizza and it was terribly disappointing and unsatisfying and came out 5 minutes after everyone and It was super soggy and had no taste the crust. Two other people in my party got pizza and it was soggy as well. My mom got skirt steak which was cold. We also ordered the grilled calamari, which have had better and would say it was almost a frozen calamari. To top off the night, their credit card machine was supposedly broken and were only taking cash. I wouldn't recommend this place and would say try and find a better pizza and Italian restaurant especially in Geneva.
Nice ambiance and I thought their seafood risotti was solid. It's right by the train station and in a great spot for wandering around downtown Geneva.
This is one of the most delicious places you can eat on third street in Geneva. This Italian restaurant is every foodie’s dream. We had the sausage bruschetta and charcuterie board to start. Neither disappointed! For dinner, i had the mushroom risotto which was cooked perfectly and my friend had the crab cakes which she loved! Our server told us the kitchen was running behind, but honestly we couldn’t even tell. Thank you Cotto A Legna for a fantastic night of dining! I will be back!
