June 2023nPositive: Lovely home, comfortable beds, nice rooms, friendly host, delicious breakfast, parking in the driveway, easy to get in and out with our keys, decent price.nnNegative: great if you like dogs around, not so great if you are not a dog lover. Norma does not disclose this in her advertising, but should. Two of us are allergic to dogs, so we had to take allergy medication for our entire stay. It worked, but we weren't happy about that. We would have booked our accommodation elsewhere if had we known there were dogs in the house.nnThe steps were steep to go to your room on the second floor. So, if you have a mobility issue, this would be a problem.
What a lovely, welcoming place. Our hostess was so kind, the decor charming, room very comfortable and immaculately clean. Madame Cote tries very hard to make her guests feel at home ….and she succeeds. Yummy breakfast, too. Will certain book again when we are back this way.
Our very short stay was lovely! We arrived late and Norma was very welcoming and kind. Our dog was a nightmare after spending 13 hrs in the car and when he saw her cat he went nuts apologies to any other guests that might have heard him barking. Our room was very clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. We left early before breakfast so I can’t comment on that but I did purchase some jam, I think it was called Tams Jams and it was delicious! I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again without my crazy dog.
The place was beautiful decorated and the rooms were nice. But the woman who came to welcome us was very rude, we made a mistake in the reservation. She charges by person but we didn't know and we went we did the reservation we didn't put the right amount of persons. We did an honest mistake but she said thar people scammed her this way the past week so she was very rude about it. The next morning when I ate I found hair and egg shells in my food. I also the she should mention she has dogs and cats somewhere.
4.5* The grounds are lovely and our room was spacious and well kept. The communal areas are cozy and inviting. The decor is not modern by any means but we found it charming. At the time, the host had three large dogs and some cats who came and went on site; they were extremely adorable and well behaved though they might come by to say hello while you're having breakfast. Breakfast was hearty and tasty. Would recommend Cote's B&B if you're ever in Grand Falls.
