Cornwall / Charlottetown KOA

About

Located on the West River, Cornwall KOA has beautiful waterfront and water view sites. A family friendly campground located just 30 minutes from Ch'town

Story

Within a short drive of ocean beaches, the provincial capital of Charlottetown and historic villages, this KOA offers plenty to do. The great location makes it easy to explore all of the island. Wide, grassy RV sites and shady tent sites border the wide West River. Take a dip in the heated Olympic-size pool before you watch movies and play Ping-Pong or a game of pool in the huge activity center. Guests love to go clam digging on the beach and have a clam boil. Your best friends will enjoy the new enclosed K9 dog park. A half hour away, explore the sand dunes, sandstone cliffs and beaches at Prince Edward Island National Park of Canada. Charlottetown features fine dining restaurants and live theater.

Campground facilities are clean and accessible. The pool is refreshing and large with a nice deck. A note to campers is to ensure you arrive early. Late arriving campers, regardless of how early you reserve, receive poor sites. After a long commute from Ontario we were provided a poorly positioned spot for our trailer that was not sufficient. Staff did provide us with another site the next day but where very difficult about it and refused to refund us for a site that was too small for our camper. Our suggestion is to ensure you are well aware of your campsite upon booking and be sure to ask if it is close to any pathways to avoid individuals and dogs crossing your site. Sites away from the KOA office are best to avoid looking at a parking lot.

Camped here for one night on a several day road trip and it was by far the best camp site we stayed at. Very friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers. Beautiful beach. Quiet and peaceful. Seemed family oriented. Would go back again. Wifi on your camp site 👍.

The property is very nice, with super views for the lower part. The heated swimming pool and terrace are great. Several sites are very narrow with too much slope. Avoid the #600 section where you walk in mud and soil... The grass has worn out. Unfortunately other sections are the same. At 56$ CAN it is not worthed for this 600 section and some other. Will we come back? Not until they revamp and regrass...
